Strewthless - Sorry, but Led Zeppelin is not metal. And I am a LZ fan. I saw an argument on Reddit debating if it is heavy metal. Most took the view that LZ weren't a heavy metal band, but did record some songs that can be considered metal, or at least were metal at the time. It's a broad genre and had changed over time. Even some Black Sabbath stuff isn't particularly heavy by modern standards Immigrant Song was often cited as heavy metal, an early example of "Viking Metal", but most say Achilles Last Stand is their best candidate. |
