These recent years were both very cloudy and mostly non-descript, but the Junes couldn't be more different. 2016 is probably best remembered for the cloudiest June on record, while 2017 is remembered for the warmest June since 1976. Which do you prefer? 2016 2017

2016 was better due to the fact there were some storms in June and a better July/August/September.

2017 was pretty nice imo except for the lack of sunshine; March and October a fair bit above average, as well as June

Wtf, London now has the same sunshine levels as this area I'll go with 2017.

January - May I would take 2016, June - December I'd take 2017. 2017 had an epic wet summer, especially June. We saw tropical cyclone activity in September, a really good cold snap in late October and a couple of good cold snaps in December (which we hadn't seen for a good while). So I'd take 2017 overall.

Actually I change my mind, 2017 has a much warmer spring and 2016 takes to long to warm up.

Wasn't expecting 2016 to get blown away 10-1, seeing as it had more sun and overall similar temps and rainfall.

I feel very special being the only person to have made the wise decision. While I wasn't living in London, I was there a few times in 2016. Anyway, in the UK overall I found that 2016 was a far more interesting year than 2017 for a fan of the weather.

Anyway, in the UK overall I found that 2016 was a far more interesting year than 2017 for a fan of the weather. The most interesting weather moments in 2016 were the massive thunderstorms on 7th and 23rd June, and the heatwave in mid September.
