Next trip (Örstigsnäs, 12/3) Beautiful stuff! Part-icy coastline! Snowy ice floe??? Now that's a first Picturesque road on the way home! These are the funny trees on the other side of the bay if you recall those from the autumn thread Babu?

Koh Phi Phi (Pee-pee) How the hell are all these rock formations formed? Some pictures of Krabi (more specifically the Railay peninsula even though we stayed in Ao Nang). Monkey in a cave Monkey outside of cave They're addicted to Fanta Say awk-awk-awk-awk-awk-awk-awk-awk-awk really quickly (for Swedes and Ariete, qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq) View point. Huge tree Princess lagoon. To get there you first had to rock climb up a 150-ish m altitude difference, and then down again even steeper. Took about an hour. I did it one handed but most people can't do it without both hands. Took more than an hour.

That monkey baby was just too cute Babu Here's 19:10; of course 20:10 DST; here yesterday btw; I can only imagine what the twilights must be like when you come home to Umeå judging by those light blue elements shining through the clouds bright enough to be captured by a cell-phone camera already so late down here!

After a couple of warm afternoon the area around Turin starts to turn greener and greener. My place is still mostly brownish instead. That's a bush I saw yesterday in Rivoli: Finally some leaves! While in there I also saw this funny street sign. It indicates the direction and distances of the twin towns of Rivoli.

^^ That Catalan flag wouldn't please a certain someone if he was allowed to post here! Went to the boondocks yesterday to ride my bicycle. Prunus blooms are in full glory nei is this tall enough? Methinks they could do with a taller hedge, after all we still see the house. Road crosses a small village. Nice châteauNot visible on photos, but the insect activity has really picked up, I spotted a few bumblebees and went through swarms of midges. Actually they were close enough to be annoying when whizzing through them. Birch pollen season will soon start. Mill building The area has sandy soils. Close by weather station reached -14.7°C a month ago without any snow on the ground. Usually doesn't drop below -10°C without snow outside frost hollows in this part of the world. No sandy soils in the valley I think I found Daffodil Central! Oh, that's a big rock. Another nice château. The commoners live in more modest conditions. Ugly trimming, that's tree torture. Strange sight upon quitting the village. Now on the plateau Old farm entrance there Abandoned railway station Back in a valley Old housing More modern housing Rapeseed field to the left. Villages often have watering holes like this one for cattle in the general area. No they're of no use. One can tell it's forsythia season. Busy market hall in this town. RER sign? Looks like I'm done. Sweeter words have never been written.

some from the last week I haven't gotten a chance to post. Blue skies but chilly (30s) on Monday. Chemistry building at a local college Local painting of the countryside he went far away to Wales and painted this village last week had lots of good sunsets found Strewthless 's favorite thing to photograph. Little children and playgrounds! they weren't on the playground. Didn't feel like waiting for them to get the scene starting to see buds of early spring plants. Probably a bit late bike ride at sunset. Even though it's been colder than late February, no ice on the ponds. Dirt roads are less muddy and no snow patches left. Most of the Northeast has snow on the ground except us. deer some ice on Mt. Tom sunset on Friday

This was taken at 8:33 PM, at the end of civil twilight. Shaded areas still have a solid snow cover. -4°C.

Greatest hits from last week: 20/3-2018 during a walk during the evening: Sunset on Rosenkällaberget (Rose Fountain Mountain) eastern fringes of downtown. Calmer in the direction looking down towards Rosenkälla proper. 18:50 (19:50 DST) already on the equinox; also, consider Nyköping is eight minutes ahead of 15°E, straddling the 17°E line; so solar time was 19:56 DST in reality. 21/3-2018 from Oxelösund's old part: Industrial area, not too charming near on of the country's largest harbours, not sure if wanting to take a swim there A small canal too but not Venice-standard for sure.

20:24 today (20:32 solar time/or at 15°E my latitude): Pretty stunning light show of nautical twilight (-9° sun angle), especially considering I'm at a lower latitude than several others in the region on here Keep in mind, this would've been 22:00 on A Coruña's longitude 8°W; on 27 March! Cheeky bastards them lot...

Subtropical spring in Bologna!!! In the pictures: Palazzo d'Accursio/Bell tower of the Metropolitan Cathedral/Palazzo dell'Archiginnasio/Fountain of Neptune/Palazzo della Mercanzia/Arcades in Via Rizzoli/The leaning towers of Asinelli (the taller one, 97 metres high) and Garisenda (the shorter one, 48 metres high)/Seven churches complex of Santo Stefano/Greengrocer's in Mercato di Mezzo/Portico of Pavaglione/Basilica of S. Petronio (the 4th largest church in Italy and 51 metres high!)/Palaces in Via Farini This city is wonderful (and full of students and tourists of course)!
