Moderators handing out threats

I don't give a fuck. If you in your moderator bubble create some kind of "warning" system, you 1) tell the rest of us 2) tell the rest of us.

As boombo is worried about the current activity on the forum, it surely is a benefit if one of the most liked posters like Ariete are handed out warnings!

WTF are you bringing this up for? You repeatedly started trouble with Lommaren in the shoutbox for no apparent reason - I don't remember the exact ins and outs of it but I'm sure some people will do.

I want this forum to be as open as possible but I also want this to be a friendly place where people want to spend their time which means we need to have a way of discouraging aggressive behaviour, who wants that kind of atmosphere on here anyway?

The whole point of this forum was that we'd all buy into the philosophy behind this place and we wouldn't have trouble because we wouldn't have troublemakers, but in case we ever had problems I came up with a disciplinary system in the first week, here it is:

I made it so all three mods need to agree before anybody is given a warning specifically so moderation wouldn't be arbitrary and so I wouldn't have too much power. All three of us would then need to agree again on giving somebody a temporary ban, and as a final step if all three of us agreed again we'd ask the rest of the group if we still wanted the person on here - majority decision wins, whether I agree with it or not is irrelevant.

This place wouldn't work as a complete free-for-all with people being nasty at each other all the time, we have to have some way of discouraging that kind of behaviour on here and that's the best system I can think of that's fair to the person and fair to what the group wants.
