Hays has hot summers and it's unfortunately prone to heat even in winter and especially the shoulder seasons, but it's in the rare zone of North America that sees Cwa and Dwa climates which makes it interesting to me personally. It's a solid C+ and it would be quite a bit higher rating with more snowfall and lower record lows in all seasons. I drove through there in early March and it was in the 80s with low humidity.

A-. Excellent climate but summer is too wet and there’s not enough snowfall.

An interesting climate, not too dissimilar from a climate I posted about a week ago (McCook, NE). Too dry in summer for me, not snowy enough in winter, and too prone to winter heat waves. Presumably too sunny as well. But the variability and interesting brings the grade up to a C.

Perfect for knot

This February, it had a high of 67 (19 C) on the 4th and a high of just 16 (-9 C) on the 5th. Less than a week later, it had a high of 65 (18 C) on the 9th which dropped to a high of 22 (-6 C) on the 10th. Then, if that wasn’t enough, it had a 76/20 (24/-7 C) day on the 10th with a high of just 27 (-3 C) the next day.
Fucking Epic!!!
