Norrköping:
Nov: 2 Dec: 0 Jan: 4 Feb: 15 Mar: About 6, I estimate it'll end up with 8-9.
So, the total haul for winter right now is 27, and could possibly reach 30 before it's over.

3
Two at the end of February, one on the first of March. First freeze days for at least 5 years, as far as I can recall.
We get lots of lows beneath freezing, but subzero highs are a real collector's item.

We get lots of lows beneath freezing, but subzero highs are a real collector's item. Can those even happen in Liverpool and Blackpool on the coast? I presume mountain-shadowing is a must! I'd imagine Middlesbrough and Newcastle behind the Pennines can get a few sometimes though.

Haha he can't even see that now. Was he referring to Norwich? In that case he would have had 2-3 days. If he was referring to his area in NI, then it was ONE day.

He would regularly claim it was seeing -4C highs with snow. Obviously didn't have any evidence to support it though. Lol.

It all comes out of his ass whenever he talks about NI, or maybe it's just the summit of that "hill" outside his house.

Yeah, I don't see what he gained from trying to make it appear colder than it is. He was fooling no-one.

As I understand it, he tried to make NI look closer to his dream climate than it actually was (ie more continental). Knowing that NI has atrocious summers even at sea level, he couldn't pretend having warm summers; so he basically used elevation as an excuse to post rediculously wintry stats.

Sweden's cold hell areas:
Take note that March has been completely frozen over up there and looks to remain the same way.
Gällivare:
Oct: 7 Nov: 24 Dec: 30 Jan: 31 Feb: 28
119 at the end of February.
Haparanda (our northernmost coast, 66°N):
Oct: 3 Nov: 12 Dec: 19 Jan: 29 Feb: 27
90 at the end of February.
Kiruna:
Oct: 7 Nov: 25 Dec: 29 Jan: 30 Feb: 28
119 at the end of February.
Nikkaluokta:
Oct: 7 Nov: 25 Dec: 28 (with a 7°C elevated polar night high at Dec 20! Föhn says hello) Jan: 31 Feb: 28
119 at the end of February.
Pajala:
Oct: 6 Nov: 16 Dec: 29 Jan: 31 Feb: 28
110 at the end of February.

I've a feeling we'll be getting a few more at the weekend/next week in Buxton. If the last easterly gave us highs of -4°C, this one should at least make -2°C or so.

I don't know the exact number but easy 50+, still getting them. First relatively solid winter in five years.

This is likely the final tally. December: 10 (first ice day 7 December, the other 9 are the 23-31) January: 11 (1-6, 12-13, 16-17, 29) February: 7 (5-7, 10, 20-22) March: 0 and none expected (the last time KC even dropped below freezing at all was the 14th!)
Total: 28
Average: 26. Technically more ice days than usual, even in a very warm, dry, and otherwise snowless winter. Most of them came in that 15-day period from 23 December to 6 January, so it's cheating in the same way that Kansas City's snowiest winter (1911-1912) had 67 inches of snow total, but 24 of them came from one single storm. Without that storm it would be in 5th place, just behind 2009-2010.

SW suburban Trappes barely escaped an ice day today, with its 0.1°C high. 0.7°C high yesterday as well. 6 ice days there, 1 in December and 5 in February. Highs are always a tad cooler than in Orly there due to a slightly higher elevation.

London had 1 in winter, but then 2 in March, for a grand total of 3.
