AC 4 had a tremendous collection of recreated sea-shanties from the golden age of sail. It was splendid to sail the high seas attacking Spanish vessels as my crew jovially joined in on these shanties!

^That's stuck in my head now! Short, and catchy. ================================= This one's most likely unavailable in quite a few countries (a -topic upload), but I'm posting it anyways. Sung to the same tune as "The Banks of Newfoundland":

^That's stuck in my head now! Short, and catchy. ================================= Huge star in the 30's and 40's, was George Formby. Kept the troops entertained during the war.

folk song, originally British. Most covered version is by the Grateful Dead
I like this recent English version better, nicer singing voice and more traditional style fits the song better

Traditional Welsh music is often based around the harp, these songs may be the oldest surviving harp compositions in the world, dating back to the middle ages. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_ap_Huw

Harry McClintock’s music is great for this thread - he’s best known for Big Rock Candy Mountain

I wonder if knot countenances Gordon Lightfoot. He's an amazing singer-songwriter. Totally underrated.
