I found this ridiculous station. It's located not even a latitude south of Karlstad, on the eastern side of Lake Vänern compared to the northern side, and its 91-18 mean is 8'C compared to Karlstad's 02-15 mean of 6.7'C. They should have similar sunshine levels being equally coastal, and are judged the same on SMHI's sunshine map, so I borrowed Karlstad's sunshine values for a ballpark. Surprisingly it's 100mm drier. Something's rotten in Denmark. This is Norrköping at the same latitude in Eastern Sweden for reference (2002-2017), colder in every single month (except in July but the means were the same when adjusting to 2002-2017 Mariestad was 22.9/14.0 and 23.2 with 2018 included) I guess I have a new favorite climate at 59°N... Assuming the station isn't massively misreading. In fact, it's a lot more similar to Ronneby at 56°N, though the southeastern edge of Sweden is cooler than the western side

Only two years left for the new 30-year averages. Comparision to 1961-1990. All months got warmer but September & October significantly less, and April the most. April and March also had the highest decrease of precipiation. All months got (slightly) sunnier too. Jan: +1.6 °C, 102% precipitation, 127% sunshine Feb: +1.1 °C, 95% precipitation, 103% sunshine Mar: +1.5 °C, 75% precipition, 116% sunshine Apr: +1.8 °C, 73% precipitation, 115% sunshine May: +1.5 °C, 99% precipitation, 104% sunshine Jun: +1.3 °C, 81% precipitation, 107% sunshine Jul: +1.6 °C, 102% precipitation, 103% sunshine Aug: +1.6 °C, 95% precipitation, 110% sunshine Sep: +0.7 °C, 99% precipitation, 103% sunshine Oct: +0.8 °C, 98% precipitation, 103% sunshine Nov: +1.4 °C, 81% precipitation, 104% sunshine Dec: +1.2 °C, 98% precipitation, 103% sunshine Year: +1.3 °C, -56.8 mm precipitation, +119 h sunshine

Indeed, two years to go.
The frigid winters of the 80s falls off, and the normals will have more Artukainen years instead of Airport years. But the two coldest Octobers on record (1992, 2002) will still be there.
Change in means vs 81-10 in C:
Jan: +1.1 Feb: +0.9 Mar: +0.6 Apr: +0.4 May: +0.5 Jun: +0.4 Jul: +0.8 Aug: +0.9 Sep: +1.0 Oct: +0.2 Nov: +1.1 Dec: +1.6 Year: +0.7
Surprisingly, precipitation has been falling since the last normals, so pun intended: calm before the storm?
Change in means vs 81-10 in %:
Jan: 95%
Feb: 95%
Mar: 86%
Apr: 103%
May: 90%
Jun: 97%
Jul: 92%
Aug: 93%
Sep: 89%
Oct: 95%
Nov: 92%
Dec: 103% Year: 94%
And then the "Swedish-style" box, now only with Artukainen:
Look, Jan is colder than in the whole normal set!!! Somebody call Cumbium!!!

Another funky station, this one manual at 57'N. It's located about halfway between Kalmar (22.5/12.4 and 1.9/-3.5 for Jul/Jan 02-16) and Gladhammar (23.3/12.3 and 1.2/-4.1 for Jul/Jan 02-16) yet this station has got warmer highs than Lund from June-Sep and warmer summer highs than any other station in any of the Nordic countries. And 02-18 to compare with other Swedish stations. Though July had warmer highs than Lund for 91-18 (albeit compared to Lund's 91-17), Lund had warmer highs for 02-15 compared to Oskarshamn's 02-18. Relatively high diurnal ranges though compared to other places at the same latitude. The sunshine isn't the most accurate representation, but neither is Norrköping and Stockholm as they aren't coastal stations. The sun station is 30km away on an island, which is actually closer than Norrköping is to the sea. The true sunshine average is likely around 2000h, though keep in mind it's only the last 10.5 years) This one is much more in line with the Mariestad station I mentioned earlier that lies a degree and a half north but by lake Vänern instead of the Baltic. Pretty much the same climate but with a higher diurnal range.

London Heathrow rolling 30 year (1989-2018) averages. Temps, rainfall and rain days have increased. Sunshine has decreased.
Mean temp / precip / sunshine difference vs 81-10 normals Jan: +0.4c / 108% / 95% Feb: +0.5c / 110% / 98% Mar: +0.4c / 91% / 104% Apr: +0.5c / 100% / 100% May: +0.6c / 91% / 101% Jun: +0.4c / 100% / 97% Jul: +0.4c / 101% / 100% Aug: +0.2c / 108% / 96% Sep: +0.3c / 98% / 100% Oct: +0.4c / 89% / 98% Nov: +0.4c / 108% / 98% Dec: +0.4c / 104% / 102%

I spent ages tallying sunshine from PDF's because the excel data only goes back to 2008 for some weird reason.

Nice job, but why didn't you take the records from the 1991-2018 period only to give a perspective of the recent records? All-time records are easy to find from wiki, and say a 0.0C low in June 100 years ago is hardly informative for the new normals.

Well I did it with being as proper as possible in mind. I could re-do the records to match 91-18. In fact, here they are: Very impressive that Stockholm hasn't dipped below -21'C in the last 28 years, or 9'C in July, or a single freeze in September. Also, apart from Jun-Aug, every single month (except September by just a sliver) was within 1'C of the all-time record high.

Finally found a less labor-intensive way of doing this. KC 2000-2018 Comparisons to 1981-2010: All months have higher average highs except February, which is 0.2F cooler. The whole year's average high is 0.8F warmer. All months have higher average lows except February, which is 0.8F cooler. The whole year's average low is 0.6F warmer. January, May, July, September, and November are drier. February, March, April, June, August, and October are wetter. December is 0.01" wetter (statistically insignificant). January, March, April, October, November, and December are less snowy. February is more snowy. (It should be noted, however, that October's averages mean nothing. October snowfall is wildly inconsistent.) Monthly records during this period: One monthly record high temperature was tied twice. 74F was recorded in December in 1939, 2001, and 2012. Entire-month records: Second-coldest April, immediately followed by an extremely abrupt shift to the second-warmest May (2018) Third and fourth-coolest Julys (2009, 2014) Third and fourth-coolest Octobers (2009, 2002) Coldest and third-coldest Novembers (2018, 2000) Second-coldest December (2000)

Grise Fiord 2007-2018 temperatures from Environment Canada. It's warmer than Resolute was 1981-2010 despite being further north. Average temps are similar to Resolute. The May record high is bogus, it should be 8.8C/47.8F. The March high looks real because Resolute reached -2.7 that day which was their highest March temp on record. Precipitation is all over the place and impossibly high pre-2014 so I didn't include it. Winter is dry in high arctic Canada, so 46mm in March 2009 and 31 snow days is not realistic. 2018 total was 167mm/6.57".
Snow depth is even worse, only 39% of days with data and 0 data for July. It was 1cm every day in October, November, and December 2018 so I wouldn't trust the data anyway. Look here if you really want to see. imgur.com/a/2Y0nFVMI posted this on C-D with a little more explaining: www.city-data.com/forum/weather/2996716-grise-fiords-climate-2.html

@kronan already did Kilpisjärvi:
Kittilä Pokka would be quite dope, it's the place where the all-time record low in Finland was recorded with -51.5C in 1999. Falun or Borlänge could also be quite interesting, as some of my ancestors came from that region.

Here's Falun and Borlänge Airport. They're very similar, but Falun seems to have inflated highs in May-August probably in relation with sunshine (Proximity to asphalt could be a reason, and I've seen some images of what's been claimed to be the Falun stations which made the station out to look completely ridiculously placed). Borlänge airport is slightly warmer in winter and fall however.
