Huh no, at least Heathrow hasn't. The airport hit 29.8°C but seems somewhere in London beat 30 last week. Hampton Water Works was highest at 30.1°C. The high pressure's position has not favoured London for the highest temperatures this time. Indeed Manchester was 30.8°C last week and various parts of Wales and Scotland were doing up to 33°C (Wales) and 31°C.

Crazy heat and humidity in eastern Canada - London, Ontario apparently recorded a dew point of 26.4C earlier this afternoon, while Toronto had a 24C dew point with a 35C air temperature.

reached a high of 93°F, heat index maxed out; in Franklin County, MA. Nearest official station (Orange, MA). Column to the right of CLR is temperature, next one dewpoint; temperature-like numbers all the way to right is heat index. Nice not too common dry heat

Yesterday had a high of 93 (34 C), a max few of 75 (24 C) and a max heat index of 105 (41 C) back home.
Was pretty epic but...the FORECAST HIGH WAS FUCKING 96!
Fuck Rochester and it’s forecast busts whenever we get a heatwave. So sick of that climate.
Forecast of 99 tomorrow my ass, I’ll be happy if we hit 95 this lame wave.
Pretty much of the forecast is for 93-94 subtract 2F and if it’s greater than 95 subtract 3 f.
FUCK ME!!!

Pretty nice weather here, 29°C with a 17°C dew at noon. Low was 20°C at Orly airport, 22°C in Montsouris and 24°C in the city center. Yesterday was the first 90°F+ day for Montsouris.
Météo France is calling for 35°C today whereas WO only shows 31°C. Hope we won't go down the Rochester way!

Mt. Washington's forecast is more exciting. Not good hiking weather even atop. Getting lots of morning storms; tomorrow might break a record For Sunday, a weak frontal boundary drapped over the region will bring rain and thunderstorms for the early morning hours. Stronger convective activity will bring heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, hail, and violent wind gusts. Some flash flooding in neighboring ravines and notches could occur during the morning hours as heavy precipitation lingers over the summits. The convective cells are expected to taper briefly during the morning hours as the front shifts out of the region a bit. Another weak front Sunday afternoon could spawn some additional showers and isolated thunderstorms on and around the mountains prior to tapering late overnight as the front exits towards the international border. As daytime heating returns Monday, the proximity of the front could once again spawn some afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms on and around the summits. Temperatures will climb ever higher Sunday and Monday likely setting new daily record highs and approaching the summits all-time record high. In addition to hot and humid weather heading this way, the large ridge will result in hazy conditions over the weekend limiting visibility of incoming unsettled weather in time to seek shelter. Additionally, the haze will be affecting air quality in the coming days affecting the young, elderly, and those with heart and lung conditions. www.mountwashington.org/experience-the-weather/higher-summit-forecast.aspx

Minimum temperatures what's with the warm temperatures on the NY-Canadian border? Clouds must have kept it warmer

feels strange when you've up since sunrise and it's been mild for hours and doesn't give a hint it'll be the hottest day in years

this is a really humid heat wave, wonder why? cause the center of the ridge is so far north? No north-south contrast in humidity at all 79°F in northern NY by the Canadian border?! Looks suspicious + 75°F and 69°F dews right next to each other. Let's check a more local map no 79°F but there's a 77°F at the border! Wonder if it's from a wetter ground; a lot of northern New England got rain last night or this morning. eh. but the most humid spots are where it didn't rain. Colors are rainfall amounts; black numbers temperatures at 11:30 am, blue dewpoints at the same time.

crazy high dewpoints; they're unofficial stations so I'd assume station error (harder to get dewpoint accurate than temperature) but it's consistently high
