^ Well, to be fair, MIA is a good deal more inland than FLL. FLL records warmer lows than MIA quite often, although usually the daytime highs are lower.
Consider this, in 13 Januaries between 1998 and 2010, FLL had an average low below 60 F only five times (2001, 2003, 2004, 2009 and 2010). And since 2010, only three have had below 60 F average lows (2010, 2011 and 2014). So in the last 20 years, about 40% of Januaries have had average lows below 60 F. I wouldn't doubt that the 61 F is somewhat accurate. The 1991-2020 average will undoubtedly have an average low above 60 F, I think.

I seriously doubt that FLL records warmer lows than MIA, especially in recent years. I honestly think something might be wrong with the MIA station. The temperatures recorded there this year are completely unprecedented and aren't corroborated by any other South Florida stations.

I'll do this again since I live in a different location.
Averages on 9/1 are 97.7/72.3 mean: 84.9F
Average on 11/30 are 66.7/40.0 mean: 52.3F
So temps on average drop 32.6F from the start to the end of fall

Averages on September 1st are 81.2/53.0 Averages on November 30th are 44.9/20.4
So means drop from 67.1 f to 32.6 f.
That’s 34.5 f which is 79.3% of the annual range. That’s a lot more than Rochester.

^ That's a pretty fast drop, from distinctly warm during the day to distinctly cool!
According to NOWData, for Green Bay, Wisconsin, since 1971 the average mean temperature on September 1 is 65.7'F, and for November 30 it's only 29.3'F, a drop of 36.4'F. I didn't realize just how quickly our falls cooled down!

Yeah, springs are quite slow to warm up here; the average high only reaches 60°F by March 22nd, which, in turn, doesn't even reach 70°F until May 8th, and 80°F until June 14th, despite the warm summers (peak avg. high is 88.9°F on Aug. 8) and mild winters.

Yeah I find that the summers here, even an above-average one, although warm for the latitude, to be more warm than hot, Rome isn't nearly as hot as people (both tourists and the newspapers stating to "stay out of the sun" when the highs in the mere low-mid 90's F ) make it out to be.

When does your dream climate's average high reach 80'F in the spring? My climate's average high in May is 29.2'C (84.6'F) so in mine probably the first week of May. Even I wouldn't describe my dream climate's summers as particularly "hot", and from my understanding they're about halfway between Rome's and your dream climate's.
