And how much does it correspond to the change in temperature throughout the whole year?
September 1 averages 90/78 here, mean of 84 F
November 30 averages 80/67 here, mean of 73.5 F
So that's a drop of 10.5 F. The year varies between a mean of 69 F in mid-January to 85 F in late July and August, so a difference of 16 F. 10.5 out of 16 is 65.625%, so the average temp drop from September 1 through November 30 corresponds to nearly 2/3rds of the change throughout the whole year.
These average were taken from FLL btw, I live about 12 miles inland so nights here are cooler, especially from late fall through late winter.

We drop from about 17.7/7 to about 1/-6, so about 16 degrees.
That's 16 degrees out of our 23'C range.

September 1 averages 76.6/56.8 (24.8/13.8 C) November 30 averages 41.9/28.5 (5.5/-1.9 C)
Thats a drop of 31.5 (17.5 C).
The year ranges from 24.2 to 71.1 which is a 46.9 (26.1 C) range.
So the temperature drops 31.5 degrees or 67.2% of the yearly range between September 1 and November 30.

I'll do March 1 to May 31.
March 1: 13.7°C/25.6°C (19.7°C) May 31: 7.2°C/15.0°C (11.1°C)
19.7 - 11.1 = 8.6°C between these two dates.
Hottest day is Feb 5 with a range of 14.4°C/27.4°C (20.9°C) Coldest day is July 11 with a range of 5.2°C/12.8°C (9.0°C)
Difference between those two is 20.9°C - 9°C = 11.9°C.
Therefore, (8.6/11.9) x 100 = 72.27% of our yearly change occurring in autumn.

I don't have precise data for the dates but it's around 18/10°C for Sep 1 and 1/-2°C for Nov 30. A drop of 14-15°C.

We go from an average max/min of about 17/10 to 6.5/2 in that time, approximately.

Where are you getting your numbers from? I got the from Wunderground, who get their values straight from NWS. Warmest averages seem to be about 91/79 in early August and the coolest around 76/61 in mid-January. www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KFLL/2017/1/15/DailyHistory.html?req_city=&req_state=&req_statename=&reqdb.zip=&reqdb.magic=&reqdb.wmo=Considering the past few years that have been warm, and the fact that in the past 11 Januaries, only four have had average lows below 60 F at FLL, I don't have a hard time believing that. Those averages on the Wikipedia page look more like they're from the Executive Airport. The reason I went to Wunderground is because you can see the averages on individual dates so it's more exact than simply looking at say, November and December and extrapolating the averages by taking what's about halfway between them. The NWS has FLL having cooler January average lows than HWO, which I don't believe at all. I can probably count on one hand the amount of times FLL has had a cooler low than HWO, particularly in winter. In fact, FLL's average January low according to that data is only 0.3 F warmer than PBI, which I have a hard time believing seeing as PBI is 50 miles north and more inland. They also have North Miami Beach as only 0.9 F warmer on the average January low than PBI ( ?) which I call BS on too. A lot of the data honestly looks suspect. EDIT: I see what station they use at WU. Go to the "Ft. Lauderdale Area" station on NOWData.

I agree with you on the fact that it seems unlikely that the average low at FLL is 57.3 but it should be something like 58.5, definitely not 61 lol.
