Luis Diaz scored a painful looking goal today. Hope he works out in the Premier League. So far seems like the PL has been kryptonite for Colombian players despite playing quite well in La Liga and Serie A

Diaz has slotted in perfectly, from the very first game he looked like he'd been playing for Liverpool for years. I just hope he doesn't eventually get injured, defenders seem to enjoy going in hard on him.

It's do or die today for Norwich. If they lose to Leeds, it's game over and they'll be back in the Championshit with a 99% probability.

I just hope he doesn't eventually get injured, defenders seem to enjoy going in hard on him. Happens with players who are excellent dribblers. Like Messi, Hazard, Neymar, etc. Hazard and Neymar sadly have suffered plenty of injuries from defenders butchering them non-stop. However Messi's legs are so fast that when defenders want to break his ankles, they end up hitting nothing but the air

Nice win against Leicester to reclaim fourth spot but it's almost a guaranteed L in the next game against Liverpool. Oh well, got a bunch of games in hand at least.

One of the comments beneath says it all. United are now basically where Liverpool were in the 90's/00's, but in a way worse, because at least Liverpool still had a steady stream of cup success. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60759493I watched them against Man City, the players didn't even look like they were bothered. It's amazing that a club can spend a billion pound on transfers and somehow go backwards, Harry Maguire is shaping up to be the worst value signing in Premier League history.

But Maguire just scored a beautiful goal. Too bad it was into his own net.

Yes it's a really bad position. They spend tons of money, but almost every signing ends up underperforming. I guess it's because they don't buy players that fit into their system, but rather just buy random expensive players expecting them to magically fit in

That was a world class finish. Top notch goal.

Good job to Liverpool. Should've been a draw though!

Good job to Liverpool. Should've been a draw though! Arsenal were the better team until Liverpool scored. Seemed like they needed a couple more decent finishers in their team. It's always a good sign when a team can play poorly and still win, that's how titles are won.

Joel Pohjanpalo, on loan at Rizespor from Leverkusen scored a rare hat trick yesterday. All three goals from the spot. Last time this happened in the Turkish league was in 2011.
Now with 12 goals in the league, Pohjanpalo is one goal ahead of the plonker Balotelli.

Global investment firm Centricus is funding another British bid to buy Chelsea, saying it wants to "maintain and support existing management". The Premier League club was put up for sale by Russian owner Roman Abramovich before he was sanctioned following his country's invasion of Ukraine. This latest bid, backed by Centricus - which has ยฃ29bn in assets - features several Chelsea season-ticket holders.
At least four other consortiums have said they have bid to buy the Blues. There is a group featuring Sir Martin Broughton and Lord Coe, and one headed by British property investor Nick Candy.
United States interest comes from the Ricketts family, while a group consisting of Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss and Los Angeles Dodgers part-owner Todd Boehly has also bid.
There are also reports that a bid from Saudi Media Group has been lodged, with the American investment firm Raine Group handling the sale.
It is understood that those bidding will be whittled down to a short list this week with a sale expected before the end of the month.
