Shoking for HJK. A Brazilian player, Jair, was sentenced for 7 months probation for inappropriately touching a then 12-year old girl in 2016. He was already sentenced in 2021, but hid the fact from HJK. The story broke today in the media, and HJK terminated Jair's contract immediately. Disgusting and sad, because he was one of the top players in the team.

Wrexham have submitted their plans for much larger floodlights. This will bring the stadium's facilities up to UEFA category 4 standards, which makes it eligible to host Nation's League matches, which is the eventual goal.  |

Game was a disgrace, farce, and whatever else you want to call it last night. Classic CONCACAF, classic away game in Central America, but it still sucks to lose under such circumstances (notably the pitch conditions and the referee but also the fans).   Reaction from the boys post-match was hardly surprising: www.reddit.com/r/CanadaSoccer/comments/vc6hyk/canadian_players_unhappy_with_the_referees/Correction to the title as pointed out in the comments: "It was stated they were not banging on the refs door, but towards the fans post game. The ref was awful, and the fans were childish so I get it. Glad to see the players show SOME emotion. I know the field was trash, but should have gotten a better result." |
