Helsinki Kumpula broke the Finnish record of the growing degree day sum, with 1856, the old record being 1853 recorded in 2011. And as the growing period isn't over yet, the figure will continue to rise.
Sums of 1850 are normal in areas like Northern Ukraine, Central Poland, North-Central Germany and Southern Ontario.

I'm assuming 5'C? Stockholm Bromma: 1914 Norrköping: 1946 Falsterbo: 2022 Umeå airport: 1366 Skellefteå airport: 1469.... Gothenburg: Allegedly 2060(?) Source: Swedish agricultural agency These have not accounted for missing data

Apparently English vineyards outproduced the Champagne region of France this year.

Yes, 5C, but the growing season in Sweden starts after 5 consecutive days, in Finland after 10.

What do you think, lol?
Look at Danish football pitches in March when they resume the season after the 2.5 month winter break. They are below all possible standards.

Autumn's been and gone. We're now back into summer What's the average maximum for October so far? -Around 21C in London now, which looks to be early autumn weather. 21C at this time of day is pretty common in summer. In fact that's the June average.

21C at this time of day is pretty common in summer. In fact that's the June average. It would probably also be the average until around mid September, I would think. In a meteorological sense early September basically is summer in London. This forecast wouldn't look out of place in an English summer.

And neither would this be in Turku:
Of course it's a much warmer forecast for September than average.
