About 60/180 stations recorded a tropical low last night in Finland. 35/170 for Sweden, and about 40/240 for Norway. Impressive. Out of about 600 stations in Fennoscandia, about 140 recorded a tropical low.

Landsort in Sweden has averaged a low of 20.7'C for the second half of July. July so far: 22.9/18.0 Visingsö, as you probably know, an island in an inland lake (Vättern) recorded a tropical night at 20.3°C far inland yesterday... Vättern is also extremely well-known for its cold water, yet the island also recorded a 30.2°C high the other day.

More impressive than any island in vättern imo

32°C in Jüri and 34°C in Tallinn which is the hottest I've ever experienced in Estonia. Unpleasant but epic.

Crazy how steady the heat was in Scandinavia, just after that record breaking May. Very impressive.

34,6°C was recorded in Keila southwest of Tallinn today, a new record for this summer. The daily mean temperature in Tallinn was 27,3°C yesterday which is likely the highest ever recorded. Meanwhile seawater at some beaches has dropped to 3°C due to water inversion.

Some updates for Norway and Trondheim the last days: Trondheim recorded it's warmest 24-hr mean ever last weekend, up to 27.3C at Trondheim AP Værnes (and 27C next day), and 27.1C in the city at Lade. This beats both July 2014 and the warmest mean from July 1901, which still has the all-time high of 35C. The high of 34.1C at Trondheim-Lade was the warmest within the city since 1901, although the airport area has seen 34.5C in 1945, 34.7C was the warmest high on July 28th at Åndalsnes (ca 160 km SW of Trondheim, head of Romsdalsfjord), might be the warmest high in Norway in 2018. This is only 0.9C from the national record. Yesterday saw high of 31C recorded several places in Nortern Norway / Arctic Norway, incl on the Vesterålen islands. Many stations in Arctic Norway recorded "tropical nights" last night, warmest was a low of 24.1C at Birtavarre in Northern Troms (E of Tromsø). Tromsø's met office recorded it's first ever tropical night with low 20.8C. And the "typical place" for tropical nights in Arctic Norway, Skrova in Lofoten, had low 21.3C. Currently today some places have temps near 30C. Sortland on Vesterålen island have a 19C dewpt and a felt temperature of 35.1C at 17:00 - must be etremely rare up there. www.infoclimat.fr/observations-meteo/temps-reel/sortland/01167.htmlCurrently 29.7C at Trondheim AP, will probably have high 30C today.

Wow. That's an incredibly poor record! I thought Denmark was reasonably sunny. Didn't Skagen average like 1990h of sunshine for 70-91 or something?

They could be station records (not City records), like it is for Oslo.
