So, this is the official thread!
My rating is A, but losing the + due to the extreme summer heat waves. On average though, these normals are very pleasant year round, and a consistent precipitation pattern doesn't hurt either.

C–, about the same rating as fucken London and an even lower rating than Snorreköping  Fucken gay ass winter lows, no storms, no wind and absurdly warm for its southerly latitude. |

Id have to permenantly wear a siberian coat to be able to survive those terrible winters. Summers are too variable as everyone has said. C-

That was trolling, pissed off Elkhunter aswell with it, so it was success. This is a realistic rating. Melbourne also has an absence of storms, they all die in the ass as they roll off the hills, and/or the seabreeze murders them. |

D-; boring winters, summers are too cool, not wet enough, just not enough weather for me. The summer heatwaves saves it from an E/F rating.

More like 26/12 or 26/13 something most likely. Wikipedia says 24/13 for Hayward in summer so I assume it depends a lot on the distance to the south eastern part of the bay. |

B, a really solid climate. And if it was in any country except Australia/South Africa/Argentina, it would easily be in the running for the best climate in the country

 B. Generally good temperatures, but summers are too unstable while winters have the opposite problem of being ultra stable. Also could be wetter while being less drizzly, especially in winter and spring. This time there are no F ratings |

Melbourne always seemed like a failed Sydney to me. Summers are too bipolar. Winters are chilly and cloudy. Spring is all over the place. I was never a fan of and it could do a lot better for its latitude...
A good thing about it? Summers seem decently sunny and the city doesn't get these stubborn "cyclonic" lows that drop like 100mm of rain in one day (that the east coast gets).

Summer is a failure (lat. 37.8 ffs).
Light rain/drizzle seems to be the norm (boring).
Summer record highs save it from being a D.
