1.4 mm of precipitation at Frankfurt Airport so far this month. That was by far the driest growing season ever.

36 f / 2 c. Feels freezing in the house. A cold, dark Monday morning, after an atrocious Eagles game. When is it going to be summer?

Low dipped to 28F in Western Pennsylvania this morning, this after the coldest 10/21 on record - only reached 39F yesterday with 0.1" of snow IMBY. What a cold weekend.
I visited the Flight 93 memorial in the Laurel Highlands, and they had about 3 to 4" of snow and it remained all day there

Yesterday saw heavy thunderstorms and large hail in the Pori-Tampere region. According to the FMI hail over 2 cm in diametre have never been recorded this late in autumn before.

Quite strange this late indeed!
Second ground frost of the season this morning here, despite the 4.5°C low.

Weird pattern altogether. FMI says 90% of hailstorms occur between May and August, but this year 1/3 of all hail fell after mid August. The largest hail reliably recorded this year was 4.5 cm in August.

Clear and dry ( and in the low 60s) on Long Island but there’s a severe thunderstorm across the sound but there’s a severe thunderstorm across the sound in Rhode Island?! Weird contrast, especially for non humid conditions; doesn’t feel like storm weather

Interesting weather today. It got down to 33 (0.6 C) this morning, the coldest of the season but not quite a freeze. The middle of the day was rainy (NOT interesting) with 0.15” (4 mm).
The in the afternoon the clouds got super dark, like what it would look like before a big summer storm and we got a small hailstorm and even a few rumbles of thunder. Doesn’t compare to our November T-storm last year but pretty nice and unexpected for late October.
