Bumping this thread to see if anyone in the northern hemisphere has seen frost yet. Babu Morningrise ? Yinz would be first I would assume No sign of frost here yet. Normally we would've seen some by now most years but our nights have been well above average this month and the trend is continuing for the moment, with our coldest low in the forecast being 5C right now. |

Were probably another month away. Lowest is 48 (8.9 C) so far and.
Average is October 22nd, every few years it holds off until November.

Uni station got down to about 0.5'C last night, so most of the city probably got down to freezing last night.

For London I'll say mid to late November. I'll say 15th onwards. Though some years can be shockingly mild and not see a temperature below 0.0c till December (or even january)

Providence is typically aroumd the very end of oct (Oct 29), Minneapolis is mid october (Oct 16)

First real fall morning of the year in western PA. Temperature plummeted to 36F, producing our first light frost. Areas to my north had a hard freeze. Even the city dropped to 42F. Nice!
High yesterday was 58F, today's forecasted to hit 62F

At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if it was in mid or late October. We've already gotten a low of 38F before at the WFO station and the closest station to me has gotten 35F twice.

Dropped to 32 (0 c) this morning, the first freeze of the year.
That’s about 2 weeks later than normal and the 3rd latest since 1995.

Boston's first temperature under 40F was 39 on November 2nd.
They had a freeze on November 8th with a low of 30F/-1C. The 13th had a HIGH of 33F/1C. Quick change from mild weather to cold weather.
Even coastal stations like Nantucket and Montauk had a freeze last week. I doubt anywhere in the northeast is still waiting for a frost. Montauk was very close, low of 31F.

Montsouris gets its first freeze on Nov 27 on average, Orly airport on Nov 11 and SE suburban Melun on Nov 3.

September is when we get the first freeze at airport, and October for downtown.
