Iโve had the flu the past few days so watched a couple movies.
Parasite: 7/10. Very good movie, I can understand the hype.
City slickers: 8/10. Old but a good funny, entertaining movie.
Once upon a time in Hollywood: 4/10. Very slow and boring with disparate storylines. Only some occasional humor, hot girls and a tense ending made it watchable.

Knives out. I enjoyed it a lot. Entertaining, funny and I liked the all the twists.

The past couple of months I've been working my way through classic films that I've never got round to watching, this past week I've watched: How Green Was My Valley - this was weird, it won the Best Picture Oscar in the Golden Age of cinema but the story doesn't have all that much to it. It was mostly worth watching because I like old films, I still can't get my head around how I'm watching people who nearly all died before I was born. It's set in a part of Wales known for having a really distinctive accent as well, but almost none of the actors even tried to do any kind of Welsh accent at all and talked in their normal English or Irish voice, wtf did they think nobody who knows anything about Wales would ever watch it or something? The Odd Couple - pretty funny, can definitely recommend.

I thought it was really boring except the last half hour. Itโs supposed to be good but I would not recommend it.

I thought it was really boring except the last half hour. Itโs supposed to be good but I would not recommend it. That sounds exactly how I'd describe his previous film, the Hateful Eight. Everyone thought it was great, but I was bored to tears, and I normally love QT's films. I'll reserve judgement for this one.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. 6/10.
Meh movie, it was way too long and the first half was slow and dull but the 2nd half made it worth watching.

Any good? Very disappointing, not a fan of it at all. Way too meandering; makes Pulp Fiction look straight forward in comparison

Mission Impossible: 4/10
Boring cliched shit. Canโt believe itโs from the same director as the masterpiece Scarface

I like Mission Impossible quite a lot, especially for the era, have you never seen it before Gior?
My favourites of the series are 4 and 6, 6 is legit one of the top action movies ever made it's ridiculously good.

Seven gets a 7/10. I liked it but the ending was pretty anticlimactic.

Watched some Korean movie called "Virgin Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors". Movie is about a girl who loses her virginity to some creepy older guys. Shot entirely in black and white. Honestly one of the worst movies I ever watched. 0/10

The Gift โ 8/10. Very good with lots of twists and turns, especially at the end.
The Departed โ 6/10. Overrated, it was way too long and the first 2/3 of the movie were slow and boring. The last 45 minutes were pretty good though

Iโm just not a fan of action movies except something like The Matrix since itโs more sci-fi/philosophical

Give 6 a watch, legit its extremely fast paced with huge action set pieces. Plus Tom cruise does all his own stunts; which is partially the appeal for the later mission impossible movies.
Also mission impossible 1 is a different genre to 3-6. MI1 is more a spy thriller whilst 3-6 have a lot more action.

Fargoโ5/10. Meh. The people who say this is one of the all time greats must be on crack. It was boring, the plot was bland and the characters were bland and there were scenes I was sitting there thinking โwhy the fuck am I watching this?โ. No clue what people think is so great about it, it was an average, forgettable movie to me.

Easy Aโ6.5/10. The plot was kinda ridiculous and there was some cringeworthy dialogue. Enjoyable, lighthearted movie though and Emma Stone is a hottie which helps.
Great Escapeโ7/10. This was very good for awhile but then it dragged on and on. Also way too many Characters so it was hard to keep people straight. Could have been a very good movie if it wasnโt 3 hours long.
