My wishlist for this winter is simple, a lack of long-lived cold snaps. A few days in the -20s or -30s is fine but I'm really not in the mood for weeks at a time of it this time around. February this year was particularly bad, with an average low -24C or so. Just too cold to go out and do much for most of the month. Likewise last Christmas season we had lows in the -30s and highs in the -20s for a couple weeks and that's just too long for me. I'm hoping January and Feburary will retain near average or above average temperatures with minimal cold snaps and then an early start to spring (which I think we deserve after that absolute frigid start to spring we had this year).
