Reykjavík, Iceland October 2018 This is the 6th month in a row for below average month. if that's why we've had 6 months above average, thank you Iceland, very cool.

Sizeable record high in Norrköping. I would say that mostly affected the lows here, the Kolmården hills can sometimes trap warmth there during the day, especially early and late in the season. I don't think Nyköping went above 20°C at all. What I can safely say is that average lows were above 5°C here in downtown, being nearer the sea and all that, so means were likely very similar. It is only during winter when the Baltic Sea is cold that nights can average lower here over a full month compared to far-western Norrköping at a distance from even the inlet of Bråviken. Norrköping's 23/6 day was probably 18/9 here or something like that so those events cancel themselves out over a full month since such events can occur maybe 2-3 times only and the median patterns are very close. Sunshine also broke through the 2,000-hour barrier already by October, now there's a distinct possibility it might reach 2,100 hours this year.

Norrköping broke our all time monthly temperature records every month from April to October. That's impressive.

Above average, although the wintry final third of the month dragged the numbers down eventually. Very transitional, some warm days then ending with two of our coldest October nights on record. The low rainfall is very notable given that it's usually our wettest month. The 10th was a perfect October day. Btw, does "Tr" in the precipitation section essentially "Trace" and round down to zero? It's always confused me.

Somewhat warmer than normal, more so because of lows, and wet. First half of the month was quite warm with a number of days above 90/70F. Cooler and more fall-like for the second half of the month though the final few days were warm. Two heavy rain events mid-month and severe storm on Halloween. The first half of October was basically a write-off, barely warmer than early November weather. The second half was magnificent, mostly sunny and above average (including the record high for the month), a VERY welcome reprieve after two months almost entirely well below average temperatures Despite the wonderful warmup, the averages still came out to about 2C below average thanks to the frigid first half. It was also a very dry month with only 8mm of precipitation. The first half of the month was quite gloomy and second half quite sunny, so I imagine sunshine hours will end up being pretty average. So far the mean temperature for 2018 is about 2.3C colder than it normally is at the end of October. Stats (one day of data missing): Average high: 9.4C (normal: 10.3C) Average low: -4.4C (normal: -1.4C) Mean temperature: 2.5C (normal: 4.4C) Highest high: 21.2C (Oct 17th) Highest low: 0.9C (Oct 29th) Lowest high: -0.6C (Oct 13th) Lowest low: -11.1C (Oct 10th) Precipitation total: 8.0mm (normal: 18.8mm) Precipitation days: 5 (normal: 8) Weatherbox (will repost with sunshine hours once the SRC station publishes its data next week):

October 2018 in Võru was intermittent in temperature. The start was cool, the middle was warm and at the end was cold. Similarly it was with precipitation- the beginning was wet, the middle of month was sunny and dry and the end was wet. On the whole, the average daily mean was 1.4 c degrees above average, the precipitation was almost exactly the same as the average and the the sunshine was 28 percent above average (averages of 1981-2010).

^That's one ridiculously anomalous year! Extremely warm, extremely sunny, and extremely dry holy shit. If only that February hadn't been so cold Frankfurt would've been Madrid this year.

Quite a turn around from the below avg September with its freezing ass nights. Anomolies were +1.6C for the low and +1.7C for the high (1995-2018). Incredibly there was a thunderstorm on the 15th, along with a dust storm. Just noticed how dry Renmark is in 2018. Only 100mm in 10 months is super dry. Reykjavík, Iceland October 2018 This is the 6th month in a row for below average month. Looks terrible. But a good year for Reykjavik is still bad.

Warm October here, we didn't manage to get a high below 10C ( 50F). It isn't as bad as 2017 but still.
