Proper Continental Cold. Dry Snow and -4c, it's been 2010 since I've seen that. Usually, it snows at around -1c.

Nikkaluokta (67°N and the icebox of Sweden) is actually set to have a less cold max temp tomorrow than down here! Having said that, the party is firmly over thereafter Skellefteå 64.50°N on the sea starts to look not too unrepresentative for its latitude, for once!

A sunny 6th March with a whole 1C diurnal range from -19 all the way up to -18, love it

A sunny 6th March with a whole 1C diurnal range from -19 all the way up to -18, love it That's got to be fake news though since that part is well-known for its insane diurnals when the sun is out, so I'd estimate it to be more like -18/-25 knowing Nikkaluokta

28 Feb-6 Mar for some of the Siberian/Russian archipelago locations. It's pretty clear from looking at Korea and Tianjin where the ridge breaks through and where the warmth now starts to come. Also, judging by Nakhodka and Vladivostok, East Asia may be set for a warm spring on those latitudes.
Irkutsk: -9/-21 Khabarovsk: -8/-15 Komsomolsk: -9/-20 Kyzyl: -11/-24
Magadan: -9/-18 Nakhodka: 1/-5 Novosibirsk: -12/-22 Omsk: -11/-19

Besides daylight hours, it looks like March is practically a winter month in Vostok. To give you an idea, January (warmest month) has average highs of -27 C while August (coldest month) has average highs of -64 C. So temps a lot closer to winter than mid-summer.

Extremely unseasonably mild especially on farther north latitudes. I've barely ever seen Kuujjuaq differ so little from here this early in the year...

Summit Camp looking quite brutal for the next few days, before "warming up" towards late week with more seasonable temps.

I'm surprised it's still solid overcast nearly all the time, in most Arctic continental climates the sun's strong enough to have more of an effect now.
Verkhoyansk averages 219 sun hours in March, more than places like Rome and Athens!

Eureka looking pretty cold the next few days. Daylight increasing by more than two hours in those eight days, but the sun is far too weak to have any significant impact still. Peak sun angle on the 12th is only 6.7 degrees and on the 19th it's 9.4 degrees.

Looking quite brutal in Vostok, with -60 C highs in the next couple of days, and a random "mild" day at -44 C lol. Daylight decreasing by almost 3 hours.

Some frosts creeping in for our local subarctique, they've already recorded -1.1°C this month and also a -1.4°C in February. They'll be a bit more common from now on, though. Also maybe light snow for Friday morning???!?!?

That's some spring warmup in Oymyakon even if it's nowhere near warm. As far as I know that part of the world doesn't have a massive standard deviation in its temperatures, so this is just spring being spring. I'd love to know what that -20C high tomorrow feels like with full late March sunshine and almost no wind, I bet it doesn't feel anywhere near as cold as it sounds.
