It's kinda annoying to see places at latitudes like 55N and 60N record better shoulder seasons than places in the US that are at 40N

First time since 1997 that we failed to reach 20ยบC in November. The average temperature wasn't among the 10 or even 20 coldest, though.

Average temperature: 3,5ยฐC Record high: 11,9ยฐC Record low: -13,3ยฐC Precipitation: 25 mm Sunshine: 27 h
So a few degrees warmer than normal (8th consecutive month), less than half of normal precipitation (3rd driest ever) and slightly less than normal sunshine. Worst month of the year as usual.

Surprisingly this ended up being only slightly warmer than average. I guess a handful of cooler days dragged the average down. Big dropoff in rainfall from last month's 344 mm.
Mean high: 33.4 C Min high: 28.6 C Max high: 35.5 C
Mean low: 24.5 C Min low: 21.2 C Max low: 26.7 C
Rain: 46 mm Raindays over 10 mm: 2 Raindays over 20 mm: 1

Past November in Bunghole, thank lord I don't live there anymore. What a nasty and atrocious month, measly 3.3C average highs, endless snow, and the coldest November temperature ever recorded. Disgusting pathetic piece of shit climate

Disgusting pathetic piece of shit climate I still can't get over how ridiculous that March was. Jesus fucken christ! Either way, I'd love that climate!

Definitely a month with some varying trends, depending on what week it was. Overall, above averages but with a monthly absolute low about 4-5ยฐC colder than the normal November absolute low. Annual sunshine will surpass 2,100 hours most likely tomorrow.

If we had this weather earlier in autumn, it would have been a very sunny month
Two other places in Norway

May-Sep doesn't get much more epic than that in Sweden if you like warm summers. Don't know about thunder though.
How's the rediculous valley stations like Gulsvik?

November was colder and snowier than average, will be interesting to see if December can make 2018 an "average" year. February, May, and September really screwed that all up.

Are you elevated? Pittsburgh is usually ~5 f warmer than us... That year looks terrible (not that bad overall but considering how good 2018 has been in the rest of the NE). No summer heatwave there, September and October were lame and that precipitation is horrifying. Makes me glad to be in Rochester for once lol.

My elevation is near 1500 ft, downtown Pittsburgh is about 700 ft, and the NWS site is at ~1000 ft. Plus I'm north and east of the city, the colder directions as well.
I like the cold and snow, but February and March switched places making the winter still not what I would want. We are on pace to have our wettest year on record fyi, lol.
We never get heat here, EVER. 50% of years my maximum is 88 or 89, not even 90.

November in Malta came in close to average, with nights a little warmer than average. Sunshine was below average & rainfall was below average at the airport, but above average here as we had an extra couple of thunderstorms that only hit the northern part of the Island. Stats from my PWS in St. Paul's Bay: Average High 21.3C (-0.1C) Average Low 17.8C (+0.5C) Overall Mean 19.6C (+0.2C) Highest Max 24.3C (3rd) Lowest Min 13.4C (30th) Lowest Max 18.3C (28th) Highest Min 21.6C (3rd) Rainfall 147.1mm (135%) Days with Rain 15 Days with Thunder 8 Days with Hail 1 Sunshine 166.0hrs (87%) Max UV 4.2 (1st) Min UV 2.2 (29th)

Each color is a 100 feet contour. The darkest green is 700-800/ everything green is below 1000 ft. Yellow and orange are 1100 and 1200 respectively. Red is 1300, dark red 1400, etc. The grayish purple is the Laurel Mountains, 2000 ft and above
I'm in the blue circle, the black circles are the NWS site and downtown Pittsburgh. The purple circle is a local airport with a weather station that is closer to me temp wise.
