Just finished The Serpent, a mini series about the so called bikini killer. Quite stressful at times, and definitely chilling as it's based on real events.

Looks like the new LotR tv show by Amazon is getting rave reviews! A generous 6.2/10 rating on IMDB so far.

^^I'm finding it quite underwhelming after the first 2 episodes, although the 2nd ep was a huge improvement on ep 1 ^^

^Just watched the 1st episode and it was quite dull and plodding, too much exposition and nothing happened. Hopefully the second episode is better.
Was quite looking forward to having two shows based off my favorite fantasy works but all Iโve seen so far are two borefests.

Just watched episode 2, a little less dull but still feels very so what. Galadriel and Elrond are alive in LOTR so you know they survive, hence why do I care what happens to them. And the other people are very blah, thereโs little characterization and itโs all quite low stakes.

My usage of "rave" was sarcastic. Assumed you were talking about the "professional critics", who usually give glowing reviews to any garbage that sticks to the message.

I haven't watched the new Lord of the Rings show, heard that they are shilling to the SJW crowd and shoe horning as many messages in as possible which I usually find as cringe. But I might give it a go when I'm bored some time later. As of now I've been watching the new HBO show "House of the Dragon" (HOT D) which I think they are doing pretty good. I was worried that after season 8 of Game of Thrones (GOT) that it would be a hot mess, but I was pleasantly surprised. I guess it helps that this time a round the book the show is based on is actually completed, so they should be able to stick the ending this time around.

House of the dragon, very disappointing and if it wasnโt in the game of thrones world Iโd give it up. Itโs the most incredibly predictable show you could come up with, as soon as a new plot point is introduced I immediately know whatโs gonna happen. No suspense, no surprises, no action, no complex characters. Also seems very low stakes, with little sense of consequences for anyone. Who knew a show with fucking dragons could be so boring.
Maybe a bit harsh, but generally I agree. A bit underwhelming and... plain. Hope it gets better.

Never watched the show before, but this scene makes me want to watch Better Call Saul Highly recommend it. I would say it's right on par with Breaking Bad, maybe even a bit better.

Seen the first few episodes of LOTR: The Rings of Power. The cinematography is beautiful, but so far it's been far too slow. Really needs to improve the pacing.

Watching an Aussie courtroom drama called 'The Twelve' a remake of a Belgian series. Despite rolling out every courtroom troupe thats ever been made, its also the 'wokest' of 'woke' wokiness wank I've ever seen ! Every juror is either a strange queer/criminal/Afghan migrant/abused wife/blackfella/Vietnamese lesso with a psychiatric issue/problem gambler/trauma survivor/wealthy heiress/banker/retired old folk x 2/disinterested young millenial......and so it goes on.... Of course the QC is an old brilliant defender, the prosecutor a young brilliant woman QC, a young female inexperianced homicide detective, the defendant may or may not have been involved in a historical murder 30 years previously and is also a nut case. her sister, the mother of the victim is really a nut case, the father of the victim mighta killed his daughter... The only normal person is the Judge and even he has a long haired mullet haircut.... Despite all this Woke B/S, its actually a good story would you believe ? 5 episodes in, and I'll continue to watch it, hell I might even become a sperm donor so the gay Asian chick juror can concieve for IVF with her girlfriend....( sigh ) www.news.com.au/entertainment/tv/streaming/the-twelve-promising-courtroom-drama-delves-into-the-lives-of-jurors/news-story/4293a52c453e9de52cdd814e5478a618womenlovetech.com/be-part-of-the-jury-for-new-series-the-twelve/

Watching Netflix's Drive to Survive. I don't give a flying fuck about motor sports but can't get enough of it. Kind of like The Crown with regards to the British royal family.
