Anyone watching 'The Last Of US' ? Two eps into 'The Last Of Us'. Its a TV series adaption of a popular computer game that came out about 9-10 years ago "The Last of Us is a 2013 action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Players control Joel, a smuggler tasked with escorting a teenage girl, Ellie, across a post-apocalyptic United States. The Last of Us is played from a third-person perspective. Players use firearms and improvised weapons and can use stealth to defend against hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures infected by a mutated fungus in the genus Cordyceps. In the online multiplayer mode, up to eight players engage in cooperative and competitive gameplay." Now, I'm 'generationally challenged' re gaming, but I like the whole post apocolyptic genera be it novels, movies, TV series etc... I'm enjoying this TV adaptation....the CGI is visually stunnng, I'm liking the storyline ( having come into it without ever knowing the role playing game ) and the acting ( so far ) is pretty good. I just finished watching it. Excellent series and really enjoyed the various storylines and jarring scenes of a post apocalyptic world. Looking forward to the next season.

Watched the first two episodes of "Obi Wan" (no I did not pay Disney a cent). What an utter abomination. Horrible writing, plot, screenplay, etc. Just another cash grab as well as symbolically killing a strong male character. On a semi-related note, I just finished watching the first season of Andor. And it is actually really good. Too good for Star Wars kind of good. Loved it. It came out last year and it barely registered that it was even a thing. Probably just assumed it would be total ass like every other Star Wars cash grab lately.

The Last of Us is great, I had been playing the 2nd game before my last offshore trip so I hope they commission a 2nd season.
Also been watching more Ted Lasso.

AI-generated Family Guy. Meg said she was breastfeeding Chris because she was depressed. The entire family also ate something laced with fentanyl. They also have occasional strokes. 10/10 Beercules jetshnl

I am currently rewatching Nooky Man, a TV Series I used to watch as a kid.
The series is about a scientist who was teleported to a strange planet named Nook, which was countless light years away from Earth, where the natives made experiments with him and he ended up gaining superhuman powers from such experiments. That was the moment he became Nooky Man. During the second episode Nooky Man flew back to Earth and became a superhero. He first saved a man from a building on fire and then he prevented a bank robbery. One of the robbers shot at him but he didn't even flinch. He was seemingly basically unstoppable until the third episode of the show revealed that he loses his powers on the presence of Homophobic people.
My favourite episode is when he defeats two homophobic thugs who were harassing two teenagers for being gay. Nooky Man's powers didn't go away while near the thugs because they weren't actually homophobes, just gays prentending to be homophobes. One of the thugs said that homosexuality is not natural, so Nooky Man reached for his pocket and pulled a gay porn DVD starring the two thugs. The thugs claimed they only did that DVD for money and that they weren't actually gay, but Nooky Man phone called their landlord who said the two moved together a year ago and that he never saw them with a woman. The thugs ran away and tried to climb over a fence, but Nooky Man used his butt power to put make the thugs fall on the floor. The thugs admitted that they are actually gay and promised that they will never harass people over their sexual orientation ever again. Nooky Man then flew away back to his fortress of solitude in Hawaii.

The HBO series, 'Last Stop Larrimah' has just dropped on Netflix. Its a doco series about the disappearance and presumed murder in Dec 2017, of Paddy Moriarty, one of only 12 residents in the remote Northern Territory town. ( 500klm south of Darwin on the Stuart Highway ). Fascinating case where all 11 remaining residents were at one stage or another considered suspects. In 2022, the NT Coroner found that Paddy had met with foul play and referred the case to the DPP ( Dept of Public Prosecutions ). At this stage no charges against the main suspect have been laid. A brilliant 'true crime' doco with a cast of real life outback characters that ya have to have seen in real life to believe !! And yes I have met a couple of them, having had a pie from Fran's Pie Shop, and a few beers at the Larrimah Pub....

I recently started watching Friends, and I can see why it's such a popular show. It's quite funny and holds up well even 25 years later.

Fallout.
It's one of those rare things, a video game adaption that's actually good. It fully captures the spirit and dark humour of the series. I think fans of the games and newcomers will both enjoy it.

Started it, during the first episode I thoúght, 'this is shit....' now, I'm generally a fan of the post apocalyptic genera, so I persevered... half way through the series and I'm actually enjoying it.

I watched only the first episode of this $180 million braincell-depleting excrement excuse of entertainment. Goddamn.
Anyway, this youtube video is very entertaining and funny as hell about the finale of the show:

The power of brand recognition is formidable. Star Wars is almost like a religion. There's only been two great Star Wars films, the first two. Since then almost everything released under the Star Wars name has been absolute crap, with a few notable exceptions. Yet millions still mindlessly consume it all.

Saved me a lot of time from watching this disgusting heap of tripe that passes off as entertainment these days. Very entertaining roast though Beercules . Definitely recommended viewing.
