Obviously, the BoM summaries aren't out yet but since the max has already been reached today, I've done my PWS. Simply an epic month, I have no other words for it. Will compile the BoM ones tomorrow night from the Sunshine Coast.  |

Tremendously above average for this January! 35.3° C was recorded at Tantangara Reservoir AWS (1,239 m AMSL); merely 34.7° C upon my property (1,280 m AMSL). Plenty of storm activity this season—alongside some rather balmy lows:  |

Consistent warm-hot and sunny weather, capped off with some epic storms on the 30th. A month for the ages.

Bingley Average highs were a degree below average but the lows were a degree above average so it cancelled out almost exactly. Not a memorable month apart from the ice day on the 31st with a high of -2.1C, only 2 cm of snow, no gales, and I hadn't even realised rainfall was 75% below average. No sun data just yet but I suspect somewhere in the 40-50 hours range, so about average.  |

Paris remained exactly same January mean temperature as 1981-2010 averages, with 1.0°C smaller diurnal ranges(-0.5°C average highs & +0.5°C average lows). Total precipitation got pretty close to the average too, sunshine hours had only 56% from the normal.

The 3F low yesterday was very extreme. Between 1995 and 2018, the minimum only went that low on four occasions
