I just did a weather box for New Orleans. Quite a bit warmer than Alexandria, the Feb lows in particular. New Orleans hasn't even been below 36F this winter. No lows below 45F in February lol. (normal low for Feb in NO is 48F) Kinda cool that it hasn't been below freezing. What is its normal minimum? Normal minimum at Louis Armstrong airport is 24.6F. Most of the suburbs are in Zone 9a, while much of the city is in Zone 9b (normal min 25-30F).

February was 2F below normal in Milwaukee, 4F in Madison. Snow and precipitation double the average, usually February is dry. The month started with a thaw from some foggy drizzly 40F days. Milwaukee melted all their snow but Madison kept some and had a full month of snow cover. There was no very cold weather, especially in Milwaukee. Just consistent cold and snow, with a lot of rain mixed in.
Overall winter was ok, a B by local standards. It took forever to get going, barely any snow in December and the first half of January then was intense for a month and a half.
Edit: Also 5th snowiest February in Madison. Not top-10 in Milwaukee.

February 2019 was officially the fourth coldest February on record in Saskatoon, and the second coldest month within my lifetime. The mean temperature was an amazing -24.2C, nearly 12C below average. The month featured 13 nights below -30C, and 22 nights below -25C, and spent a whole 6 hours above -10C, all of them on the afternoon of the 27th, with the record high for the rest of the month being -10.6C. We also hit our coldest temperature in 15 years. A very impressively cold month overall. Average high: -18.7 (normal: -7.2) Average low: -29.7 (normal: -17.8) Mean temperature: -24.2 (normal: -12.5) Warmest high: -5.2 (Feb 27th) Warmest low: -17.7 (Feb 27th) Coldest high: -26.9 (Feb 7th) Coldest low: -42.5 (Feb 6th) Warmest mean: -11.5 (Feb 27th) Coldest mean: -34.6 (Feb 6th) Precipitation: 11.1mm (normal: 8.8) Precipitation days: 14 (normal: 7.1) Sunshine: 161.7 (normal: 131.1)

Sweden's summary: Look at the record highs broken, especially in the bottom half (högsta and högsta sedan 1901). A dozen places broke old records by 2-3'C. Nothing extraordinary here.

Norrköping was more similar to a typical March than a typical February, even though no records were really that close to being broken.

The website I usually get my data from isn't giving me full data at the moment, so here's this for Bingley: A wintry start (actually the only lying snow we've had all year), but quickly warming up into typical March, April and even May weather. The week from the 21st-27th saw almost unbroken sunshine and a warm spell that was completely off the scale compared to anything ever seen at this time of year, it wouldn't surprise me if I never saw anything like that again in my lifetime. Rainfall was just over half of average - it's been a very dry winter overall with nothing like as much mud as typical for the time of year - and sunshine was probably just under 100 hours judging by what other nearby places got, which is close to a record high. It basically felt like a spring month. The sunshine figure for Bradford (nearest place to me with sun data) came in at 105.6 hours, which makes it the sunniest February on record. It was also the sunniest February on record for England as a whole with 121.1 hours. The winter was the third-sunniest on record, which means that the four sunniest winters since records began and 11 out of the top 15 have all come in this century www.metoffice.gov.uk/pub/data/weather/uk/climate/datasets/Sunshine/ranked/England.txt

Apart from a decent snowfall in the very first days of February, the month was definitively warmer and drier than the average. Starting from the closest weather station to my place: ^ for this station I also have the averages for the 1992-2018 period. The monthly avg high was 3.4°C warmer than the historical avg, the mean was 2.9°C warmer and the lows 2.0°C warmer. It was actually closer to our March averages, in particular considering the highs. ^ Turin city center ^ Turin airport

February in Malta was below average with above average rainfall & average sunshine. On the 24th there was a violent storm with gusts of 150km/h, apparently the worst storm to hit the Islands since 1982, lots of damage was caused, especially here on the coast. Seafront restaurants & kiosks were swept away or badly damaged & one of the pens from an off-shore fish farm was destroyed causing thousands of fish to be swept into St. Paul's Bay & many being washed up by the huge waves onto the road. Stats from my PWS in St. Paul's Bay: Average High: 16.0C (-0.3C) Average Low: 11.5C (-0.1C) Overall Mean: 13.8C (-0.2C) Highest Max: 20.9C (2nd) Lowest Min : 7.4C (24th) Lowest Max: 11.7C (24th) Highest Min: 16.0C (2nd) Rainfall: 94.2mm (149%) Days with Rain: 10 Days with Thunder: 5 Days with Hail: 3 Sunshine: 188.0hrs (97%) Max UV: 4.6 (19th) Min UV: 2.6 (6th)
