Hasnβt gotten above 46 (8 C) yet and itβs been lightly raining all day. Up to 1.34β (34 mm) now which brings the monthly total go 5.55β (141 mm).
So this month will now be one of the top 10 wettest and warmest Octobers. Very similar to April in that regard, being both very warm and very wet.

^ Looks like it's been quite mild in the northeast! Pretty surprising that Rochester hasn't been below 35F yet.

Yesterdayβs rain total was 2.10β (53 mm). So far today, 0.40β (10 mm) has fallen although itβs dry now.
This brings the monthly total to 6.71β (170 mm)! This is the wettest month since July 2014 and the wettest October since 1955!
Through 29 days, this October is the 4th warmest and 4th wettest on record. The last October this warm was 1971 and the last one this wet was 1955.

what a fucking fail. forecast low of 52F and it's 57F this morning wtf. Lol, that sucks. It actually ended up dropping to 53 F here this morning, predicted low was 51 F so still a bit disappointing, but it's all good. Right now it's 67/40 at HWO and 65/40 at FLL. Tonight's low has been revised to 54 F after it being predicted at 58/59 F yesterday. Not bad! I'll take a 53 F and a 54 F low two days in a row over a 51 F low and 59 F low lol. I've noticed that the second night of a cold snap is almost always cooler than predicted, while the first night is almost always warmer than predicted. Must be due to the fact the first night of a cold snap is usually windy with winds from the north, also the second night usually comes off a cooler daytime high. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if it drops further than 54 F tonight.

Temps are gonna drop quick tonight but will stall as the high shifts east and we start to get a bit of an onshore NNE flow. I predict a low of 57F for you tonight and 59F for me.

We have much lower DPs today and we're going to be coming off a daytime high about 10 F cooler than yesterday, so I don't see it as being that difficult. Hopefully the goddamn useless easterlies fuck off for as long as possible. Never fucking fails to get those bullshit breezes here.
Even then, dropping to the mid-50s shouldn't be that difficult tonight. Temps will likely start rising late at night though, so the low will probably occur around 3/4 am.

The one thing I will say is that there is a huge margain of error for temps tonight as a shift of just a couple hours in the time of winds decoupling along with the transition to a northeast flow will make a huge difference in temps.

I thought the storm was winding down when I went to bed around midnight (after a brief period of strong winds) but then I woke up to pretty heavy rain this morning. It cleared up in the morning and turned into a pleasantly cool and windy day with temperatures in the lower to mid 50s.
Total rainfall over 3.50 inches. Pretty impressive and probably the heaviest amount of rain we've received in a 24 hour period in at least a few years.

Another cold day today. The high has been just 45 (7 C) so far after a low of 39 (4 C).
Looks like 6.84β (174 mm) will be the final precipitation total for the month, the 4th wettest October ever and the 15th wettest month ever!

Had 1.32" of rain since around midnight last night. This is double the amount of rainfall I had in September and October combined! Rainfall seemed to last for much of the morning and into the early afternoon. It was somewhat heavy at times, but didn't hear any thunder. Temp was mostly in the 60's but reached 70F this afternoon.
Forecast to reach 83F tomorrow...

It looks like it will be clear and frosty for Bonfire Night (5th November, this Sunday), which is good stuff.
The classic image people associate with Bonfire Night is standing round a bonfire in clear, frosty weather with all the smoke from the bonfires forming a fog and with a carpet of leaves all around you, too often though we get rain and wind instead. Some years they've even had to keep the bonfire pile covered beforehand to stop it from getting too wet to actually light.

Why is it that the wind always has to be in the direction I have to ride my bike to or from class? I swear it does a complete 180 in the hour I'm in there. FFS
Lame and boring forecast here. Nothing but 70s for highs and the occasional upper 60s that will probably end up being in the 70s anyway. Is it really that hard to get average weather here?
