We had a streak where 14/16 days saw rain. It's completely absurd. I'd even go as far as to say every one of them saw rain, unless I'm mistaken. Because a lot of the time, it's not as much a drizzle as it is fog with large enough water droplets to fuck my glasses up, and I feel like that has happened every day now for ages. What the hell is this shit. And on top of that, look at our FUCKING forecast. What. The. Fuck. Stop this, September. Where are our 158 hours of sunshine we were promised?

Well, on Saturday here it didn't rain but my glasses still got soaking wet because of the mist. This has not been a September to remember, although at least it's been firmly within the continental/oceanic range as always. Do you believe Umeå will make a 10C mean this September Baba or is that already lost?

Do you believe Umeå will make a 10C mean this September Baba or is that already lost? I think we'll make 10'C. The freeze hollow held us back in the beginning (15'C diurnals) but we caught back in the middle, so I think our mean is about 10'C now, and forecast seems to think we'll stay above 10'C. Edit: According to infoclimat our mean is 10.4'C so far, so I doubt we'll drop below 10'C.

It would be fun if this miserable year in Umeå further cemented its new humid continental status Kind of ironic, isn't it?

It's getting pretty safe to say that Umeå now is a non-subarctic climate. We're seemingly approaching Norway though judging by the last three years... Nearly oceanic winters and cool, lame summers...

It's fucking 93 F (34 C) outside right now with a 73 F (23 C) dew point, which makes a 102 F (39 C) heat index. I hate living at 26 N surrounded by bathtub water.

Also interesting that the last time 90 F happened this late was exactly ten years ago. I remember the heat wave that occurred in late September/early October in 2007. There were even places in the Midwest and South with 90 F highs in early October 2007.

Today had a high of 91 (33 C) for the 3rd straight day, so this is now the first heat wave of the year and the latest on record.
The dew point rose to 70 (21 C), probably one of the latest 70+ dews on record.
The heat index also got as high as 95 (35 C), the hottest this year.
Today was the 5th latest 90 degree day on record and the latest since 1959!
Another day of blue dome skies as the dry streak moves on to 18.
In the past few days: -Sunday set a new daily record of 91 -Today set a new daily record of 91 -latest heat wave on record -5th, T-6th, and T-9th latest 90 degree days ever -latest 90 degree day since 1959 -T-8th longest rainless streak -longest rainless streak since 1977

I'm a bit farther south so in general we have been capping out at 31-32C

4th straight max of 91 today! Not even in summer do we get the same high 4 days in a row, let alone in late September when the average high is in the 60s!
There were a few minor sprinkles, but nothing measurable so the dry streak lives on for now.
The 90 degree days in 2017: June 12--90 June 18--90 September 24--91 September 25--91 September 26--91 Septemger 27--91
Today jumps ahead of yesterday for the 5th latest 90, yesterday falls to 6, Monday to T-7, and Sunday to T-10.
Today was the 3rd daily record high in the last 4 days.

It's been hot all week, but heat during the workweek is pointless! It's going to get cool for the weekend and ruin my plans to get back down the shore

It's now reached 90F (32.2C) or above everyday for 2 weeks straight. It got up to 94F (34.4C) today. There should be a slight cool-down over the coming days with a front.
Only 0.09" of rain at the airport for the month which will likely be the final total, making this the second driest September on record.
