Hot day back home, Rochester hit 91 (33 C), the 2nd 90+ day and the hottest of the year.
Here it reached 89 (32 C) with dews in the mid 50s.
4 straight dry, sunny and hot days with cool nights, couldnβt ask for better weather. Unfortunately tomorrow and Friday seem rainy but the last 4 days have been perfect.

Same for here. Yesterday (July 9th) we reached the peak (88/66) which will be at that average until July 31st. August 1st drops to 88/65. Monday was quite the washout day, rained all morning and most of the afternoon, lots of flooding around and quite the "cool" (in a relative sense) day with a high of only 76 F (24.4 C), yesterday was more seasonable with an 86 F (30 C) high. Today has a predicted high of 90 F (32.2 C). was that the rainstorm that flooded the metro stations? Missed NYC; it's been a dry last couple of weeks. Peak for NYC Central Park is July 22nd (86/70) Yes sir same rainstorm. We had a steady, heavy rain through the morning and early afternoon hours. Airports didn't record impressive totals, but there were likely some quite heavy localized amounts. Today we actually have a Flash Flood Warning in effect overnight, forecast calling for strong thunderstorms later with a high of 88 F (31.1 C), beautiful weather.

rain band across the east coast, might be some moisture from Tropical Storm Barry? After it passes, humidity should be lower

Had a brief downpour with lots of lightning, apparently 0.74β (18 mm) fell but it didnβt feel like that much.
Dew point reached 76 (24 C), far more humid than recent days, temp maxed out at ~84 (29 C).
Unfortunately this station only shows the obs for the current hour so the high/low wonβt be known until tomorrow.
Not as nice as the other days but still a good day for being outdoors. The rain luckily held off long enough for a kayaking trip across the lake, was quite windy today but the water was still calm.

Yesterday I recorded the most rain in one day in the time ive been at my house.
4.8 INCHES (122mm)
Water came into my basement, a mess. Thankfully I live on a large hill so I didn't get the worst of it. I hope I never see so much rain in one day again
Temp only reached 73F, which is 9F below average

Tropical storm warning now issued as far inland as Alexandria! Don't think I've been under one since maybe Isaac in 2012. NOAA is showing the heaviest rain to my east, with 4-5 inches for my location. However the latest NAM run shows over a foot of rain here thru next Monday with Barry taking a more westward turn and a rain band stalling overhead.

Barry's track has shifted further west, with the center now projected to go to my west putting me on the more intense side of the storm. Also Barry has just been upgraded to a Cat 1 hurricane as it approaches making landfall south of Lafayette.

Weather the 6 full days I was on lake George:
July 07th: High 77 Low 55 βοΈ July 08th: High 85 Low 48 βοΈ July 09th: High 87 Low 50 βοΈ July 10th: High 89 Low 54 βοΈ July 11th: High 84 Low 60 π¦ 0.87β July 12th: High 83 Low 58 βοΈ 0.06β
About as good as it gets. Hot, dry and sunny with cool nights pretty much every day! The only rain was overnight on the 11th and nothing interfered with being out on the water or just hanging out outside.

rather consistent month so far in NYC. Except for one day a week ago, temperatures have been consistently above average but not by a lot. So far this month's average Amherst has been a bit more variable, with much cooler nights. last July, the lows varied a lot. HIghs not so much. Since up there, nights cool to about dewpoint; it was mostly from humidity changing. But drier airmasses are more northern

map of NYC temperatures late afternoon. Which official station looks more out of place? Central Park is noticeably cooler than most. Except for the ones on the Atlantic Ocean

Seems like Barry has under-achieved so far. Some gusty winds but not as strong as I was expecting and light to moderate rain; I had about an inch so far.
Looks like not as much as expected in south LA either. Just 1-2 inches in Baton Rouge yesterday.
Though it's not over yet. Heavy rain bands to the east right now. Also HRRR shows heavy bands stalling over central LA tonight and into tomorrow bringing quite a bit of rain.

July has been super mild so far over here. We're currently nearly 1.5C below average, and both Environment Canada and The Weather Network are showing consistent below average temperatures in their forecasts. This is looking to be one of the mildest summers in recent years. This would be fine weather in June and excellent in May, but for July it's been pretty lacklustre.
