JFK airport almost reached an 80Β°F dewpoint today the other two official NYC stations, LGA and Central Park, only were 73-74. Maybe Jamaica Bay added more humidity? An unofficial station near the ocean in Brooklyn (Sheepshed Bay) reached similar dews to JFK. Muggy throughout the Northeast today. Strong line of storms in upstate NY and Massachusetts. Where the storm passed the dews are still high but temperatures had a big drop

Looks like the temp ended up underachieving today. Max was 94F. However NWS is forecasting upper 90's through late next week! Precip chances don't look good the next few days but hoping that some storms will still pop up.

Highest dewpoint of the year this evening at 74Β°F. I saw some distant lightning driving home, but still nothing close by.

A tornado destroyed a farm in Latvia. I didn't even know that was possible at these latitudes.

Today is cooler than it's been the past few days, though still 85 F and quite humid (71 F dew point). Tomorrow looks like a break in the heat, NWS has low 80s (82 F) predicted as the high tomorrow while TWC has upper 70s (79 F).

Chances are looking better that a tropical system could be headed this way this weekend! Impressive rainfall totals already being shown by NOAA.

Excellent day today. High reached 85 (29 C) after a chilly 48 (9 C) low. It was also nice and dry with dews in the 40s all day. Awesome for being out on the lake and walking around the grounds, couldnβt ask for much better!
It was 78/53 back home, supposed to get near 90 again a couple times coming up.

Impressively above previous heat records for Anchorage ππΏMΓΆrΓΆnππΏ. Never did look what pattern created their heat. Rivers there must be roaring with snow and glacier melt

Another glorious day today, hit 87 (31 C) with dews in the 50s.
Low was 50 (10 C) last night so a large diurnal range, great for the east in summer.
Down to 60 now, should be another cool night.
Back in Rochester it was 84/54 (29/12 C). 3rd straight day of dews in the 40s there.

Today marks beginning of the peak of summer average wise here in Western Pennsylvania: today begins both my warmest maxs and mins of 82/61 and continues into late July. All downhill from here Same for here. Yesterday (July 9th) we reached the peak (88/66) which will be at that average until July 31st. August 1st drops to 88/65. Monday was quite the washout day, rained all morning and most of the afternoon, lots of flooding around and quite the "cool" (in a relative sense) day with a high of only 76 F (24.4 C), yesterday was more seasonable with an 86 F (30 C) high. Today has a predicted high of 90 F (32.2 C).

Looking like I could get nearly a direct hit by the future T.S./Hurricane Barry! Might be strongest here since Gustav in 2008. Still some uncertainty with the models. NOAA forecast showing around 10" of rain here!
