Supercell storms forming over Normandy right now, hopefully we can a bit of the action. Not holding my breath though. From that website: Of course fuck all happened in Paris, though cells popped up mere kilometers north of here. Crazy hot 850 hPa temps predicted next week for parts of the country. The GFS ensemble is touching the 30Β°C mark for SW France. Geez these are some severe mid-level temps: www.meteociel.fr/cartes_obs/gens_display.php?ext=1&x=362&y=570

Another gross humid day with a decent amount of rain. About 0.40 inches so far and still coming down.
Thankfully clearing out and drying up tomorrow afternoon and for the weekend before heating up next week.

Barrow, AK hit 72 (22 C) today.
Thatβs like 40 f above average and ties the June record high!
Also the warmest temp since July 2009.

19.4/7.7 up until yesterday for UmeΓ₯ AP. We haven't quite caught up to Chad Trondheim yet though with their 20.7/9.8.
And of course, it's warmer both in the west and in the east with Kronoby having 21.2/9.1.
Even the North is warmer with 21.2/9.6 in SkellefteΓ₯!!!
Uppsala is getting 23.5/12.6 vs 23.1/13.0 and 20.3/10.3 in Turku and Drammen. I suppose I live in the cuck belt of Sweden.

Fairly disappointing thunderstorm-wise this past weekend and today. Some thunderstorms in the area yesterday, but all I got was light to moderate rain... There were some epic looking storms in Texas. Today had looked more promising with a 70% chance, but storms ended up developing over Mississippi instead. Not much action in central LA unfortunately... Welcome to the Renmark Factor, man. Seems like my area gets missed most often during the summer months. What I hate most is when storm development seems promising, then storms form nearby and move away, killing the instability for the rest of the day and all I get is overcast conditions and drizzle.

The southern end of a storm complex came thru yesterday morning. Strong winds woke me up around 3:15 AM but most of the lightning strikes were to my north. A lot of wind damage just north of Alexandria and even a confirmed EF-1 tornado.
Hot and quite muggy today. 92F with dewpoint of 77F and heat index of 106 at 1 PM. Heat advisory in effect.

Quite the flip with weather conditions today. It was raining all morning but then the sky cleared out and the humidity dropped. Dewpoint was 68 F/20 C at midnight, 64 F/18 C at noon and is currently 50 F/10 C (just before 8PM).
Heavy rains a good part of the week but the weekend should be sunny and dry. Heating up next week.

Some great rainfall out here! Yesterday we had an amazing 23.9mm of rain, more than three times the rainfall we'd had in all of 2019 up to that point and about a third of our normal monthly rainfall for June. We have another 10 to 20 mm in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow, and then back to sunny and slightly above average after that. Overall, a great end to our severe drought conditions. Hopefully we can continue with consistent moderate rainfall through the summer.

Pleasant morning here. 71 F/22 C with a dewpoint of 55 F/13 C and sunny skies after a low of 53 F/12 C. Tomorrow looks hotter but at least the morning will be cool again. Next week doesn't look as promising...probably going to have to crank up the A/C.

Yeah definitely more typical summer conditions. Last week was humid, but cool and cloudy. Today is really nice.

NOAA is showing a good bit of rainfall for the last week of June. Models showing a storm complex tonight coming out of the northwest, but I wouldn't be that surprised if it weakens as approaching central LA.

We've had a break in the heat the last couple of days, 82/59 yesterday and this morning had a cool low of 53 F (11.7 C), today is gonna be more seasonable with a high of 84 F (28.9 C) predicted. This upcoming week looks quite hot though, consistent low 90s. Looks like we'll hit 90 F this June after all!
