I guess you can call it an average month.
Deviations from 91-18:
high, mean, low: 0.0C
precipitation: 93% of normal.
Record high: 27.8C (21st), tied highest temp in the country in May.
Lowest high: 3.8C (3rd), 2nd lowest May high on record. Highest low: 14.6C (20th) Record low: -2.6C (4th and 5th)
Rest of the country will be posted tomorrow.

The record high and lowest high obviously made it an "average month well disguised" Ariete . It's quite funny how really swingy Mays often end up like that in the end. 2017 really comes to mind here.

It was a bit of a disappointment, but I guess the last decade or two has made me a bit spoiled with regards to my perception of what May ought to be. Either way, the average was not quite 11°C, but at least it wasn't a subarctic month, there will be a "b" at the end of the year no matter what would happen in September, unlike in 1996, when September bailed out the year from the subarctic classification. Sunshine was 234.7h not 236

No, that's not a typo. Deviations: High: -2.7F
Mean: -1.6FLow: -0.5FPrecipitation: +7.59/245%Wettest May on record 3rd wettest single month on record (after September 1914 and July 1992) 21 precipitation days (normal: 11, which is already the most of any month of the year) Other notes: Flurries reported in northeast Kansas on that 36F morning, but nothing in the KC area Very cloudy month, I wish US stations still recorded sunshine hours, I would be very interested to see it Is this what an East Asia summer is like? Overall, by far the best of the 4 Mays I've experienced since moving here

Missed most of the month while I was in California, PWS didn't though.
Maximum = 85F (+1F)
Average high = 72.7F (+2.5F) Mean = 61.7F (+2.5F) Average Low = 50.8F (+2.5F) Minimum = 37F (+5F)
Significantly above average month.
Precipitation = 9.77" (+5.57") Snowfall = 0.0" (-0.1")
EXTREMELY wet month.

May in Malta was below average, possibly one of the coolest on record, a few warm days in the last week probably stopped it from being the coolest. It was much wetter than normal with a record number of thunderstorms recorded, (May averages 1 thunderstorm & the record is 4). Surprisingly the sunshine was was only a little below expected. Stats from my PWS in St. Paul's Bay Average High: 23.7C (-1.7C) Average Low : 17.2C (-1.3C) Overall Mean : 20.5C (-1.5C) Highest Max: 27.4C (29th) Lowest Min : 13.9C (8th) Lowest Max: 19.4C (16th) Highest Min: 19.7C (26th) Rainfall: 33.7mm (366%) Days with Rain: 11 Max Rain in Day: 6.9mm (14th) Days with Thunder: 5 Sunshine: 296.0hrs (95%) Max UV: 9.1 (22nd) Min UV : 6.7 (16th)

May 2019 was very nice compared to most Mays here. Using the daily mean it was the tied 2nd/3rd warmest May, only behind 2018 (also a very nice month) and tied with 1940. In terms of average high, it was the 5th warmest. Precipitation was far below average in SeaTac, but the WFO Seattle station got 1.45" of precipitation which is only slightly below normal. Average High: 69.7°F (+5.0°F) Daily Mean: 60.5°F (+4.5°F) Average Low: 51.2°F (+3.9°F) Highest Temperature: 86°F (10th) Lowest Temperature: 43°F (1st) Highest Low: 56°F (9th, 10th) Lowest High: 56°F (25th) Precipitation: 0.62" (−1.32", 32%) Snowfall: 0.0" Precipitation Days (≥ 0.01 in.): 7 (−5.0) Snow Days: 0

Boring but pleasant month.... Although it actually just felt the same as April with less sunhsine, especially after that huge temperature drop from March-April (by Auckland standards ).

*May was colder than April in Bergen and Stavanger! Extremely rare, last time that happened in Bergen was 125 years ago - in 1894!
* Coastal cities sunniest - Bergen now has two months in a row with 250+ sunhrs
* Three very cold weeks, and a warm nice week - still by many might be remembered for nice weather as the good weather hit the most important day for weather during the whole year - constitution day May 17th
* May a complete contrast to the extremely sunny and warm April

May was quite boring and rainy both here in Grenoble and back home. Generally May is a quite variable month in these places, so that this year we didn't get any real heat wave in this month it ended to be cooler than the averages. Grenoble: Back home, in Susa:

Perth Metro:
Highest Max: 28.0C (14th) Mean Max: 22.2C (-0.1C) Lowest Max: 16.7C (17th)
Highest Min: 16.2C (6th) Mean Min: 8.7C (-1.8C) Lowest Min: 1.6C (19th)
Rainfall: 17.8mm (19.9% of average 89.4mm) Rain Days: 7 (-4.3) Sun hours: 246.8hrs Hours/day: 8.0 hrs/day (+1.1 hrs/day)
A sunny, cooler than average, and record dry (for new station) May. Three fronts over the month, the first coming from 4th-7th, the second 16th-17th and the final 20th-21st. Also I swear the average maximum for May was 22.9 instead of 22.3 (at Perth Metro), must've been mixing it with the last digit of April 25.9 (.9), still confusing.
Jandakot:
Highest Max: 27.2C (15th) Mean Max: 22.0C (0.0) Lowest Max: 16.3C (17th)
Highest Min: 15.8C (6th) Mean Min: 7.5C (-1.9C) Lowest Min: -0.1C (19th) YYYYEAAAHHHH BOY NEGATIVES
Rainfall: 24.4mm (22.8% of average 106.6mm) Rain Days: 7 (-5.1) Sun hours: 246.8
