Back home in Christchurch they're having some long runs of frosty weather. Some really impressive diurnals too. I can't be bothered checking but I wouldn't be surprised if this June set a new record for number of frosts:

Formation of high pressure over central australia bringing high diurnals, sunny days and prevailing easterlies to Western Australia. This system will push fronts over SA, Vic and Tas on thursday and friday and over the weekend; pushing them south enough to only effect tasmania.

According to metservice.com, Alexandra in New Zealand's South Island had an ice day on the 27th of June (-3°C/-1°C). Potentially another one on the 28th, but we don't know if that 0°C is rounded up or down. I wonder how legit it is, and how often this happens if so. www.metservice.com/towns-cities/alexandra

High pressure will continue to drift from western australia to the Great Australian Bight where it will stay early next week. Stable weather and sunny days will dominate the centre, west and north of the continent as a trough dissipates over the western-coast of Western Australia. A strong cold front that is currently battering Victoria and Tasmania will push through NSW (although much drier and more just as a cold wind and cloud), another on sunday night will bring further showers and wind. By monday and tuesday the high pressure system will have stretched out enough that the low over tasmania will be pushed southwards with showers easing throughout the southern states.

16th July: A very large high pressure system will sit over the great australian bight (centre is 1030-1033 hPa) bringing dry, sunny conditions to much of central, northern and western australia. The exception will be victoria and tasmania; a series decayed fronts will drift through bringing a few showers in the morning clearing to a fairly dry afternoon over the area. 17th July: The high pressure system will be moved north-east slightly as a cold front approaches south-east Australia. This front will bring a westerly change and showers in the afternoon and evening. This front will push into NSW with wet weather in the Snowy Mountains but rain won't reach the NSW coast, instead only a cold westerly change will be felt. In Western Australia northerly winds will increase as higher pressure moves further away, a cold front will hit the far south coast in the late evening bringing light showers. 18th July: High pressure will continue to be pushed further eastwards now over Queensland and New South Wales as the front that skimmed WA late on the 17th quickly crosses the great australian bight and hit South Australia and Victoria late on the 18th bringing further showers, although these will be light. The front remainder of the 17th's front in WA will stick around as a trough bringing instability and a low chance of showers as the day progresses. 19th July: In Western Australia a strong cold front will hit in the late morning bringing heavy falls and strong showers with a second front following closely behind in the evening! The high pressure system will once again migrate over NSW, pushing close to the coast of NSW. This movement will drag wind from the desert down into South Australia and Victoria, a breezy northerly change is expected over this region on the 19th and 20th. Pressure will rise in South Australia and Victoria clearing skies and giving way to a fairly sunny and pleasant winter day, still not very far above average but generally dry with only a chance around the victorian coastline.
