Oh didn't know that song was popular abroad. Proudly standing up there with the Ketchup Song.

Paul McCartney was recently asked to name the best song he'd written, he chose this.

Strewthless - Yes, I remember first hearing about the story behind that song a long time ago from my dad.

Strewthless - Yes, I remember first hearing about the story behind that song a long time ago from my dad. Supposedly the message is proven true, love is all you need: In 2009, George Vaillant, the chief investigator of the Grant Study, which tracked 268 Harvard undergraduates for a period of 80 years with the goal of finding what factors led to happiness, stated that its findings could be summarised as "Happiness is love. Full stop."[118] In response to accusations that the statement was sentimental or overly general, Vaillant revisited his findings and concluded: "The short answer is L-O-V-E."[119] The CBC reported that the "[Grant] study proves Beatles right: All You Need is Love."

Strewthless - Yes, I remember first hearing about the story behind that song a long time ago from my dad. Supposedly it also communicates the only neccesary truth: In 2009, George Vaillant, the chief investigator of the Grant Study, which tracked 268 Harvard undergraduates for a period of 80 years with the goal of finding what factors led to happiness, stated that its findings could be summarised as "Happiness is love. Full stop."[118] In response to accusations that the statement was sentimental or overly general, Vaillant revisited his findings and concluded: "The short answer is L-O-V-E."[119] The CBC reported that the "[Grant] study proves Beatles right: All You Need is Love."I already know it very well. God has created the universe for this purpose. It is His purpose.

The Wet Wet Wet cover was such a monstrously huge hit in the 90's that the original has almost been forgotten.

snj90 , is this from the film? Nicely produced video for 1964.

Strewthless - I think so, but it's been a long time since I last saw it.
This is from the movie. Nice scene and song. You should watch it.

Strewthless - oops, actually, never mind my last post. I posted it before I watched it. No, that's not quite right. That has parts of the scene from the movie, but the song seems to be overdubbed.

Anyway, that's the train scene for that song, but it sounds overdubbed. I don't remember that impression from the movie. Maybe I'm wrong.

Well, I guess it would be overdubbed then since it's in a movie. The song just doesn't like like the album version. Never mind, lol.
