So every month 3C warmer or colder? Which one do you fancy more?

3c warmer for providence would be en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louisville,_Kentucky#Climate which has a worse summer but better winter and spring. Wince the summer is too hot by more than my winter tolerability limit extends (and without the nor'easters that would make me enjoy the winters here more), it's slightly worse despite technically having a closer annual mean to my ideal climate which is about 2c warmer. Conversely, 3c colder would correspond to the climate of en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portland,_Maine#Climate which is worse in all seasons, being too cold overall. Since my ideal midsummer is similar to providence, about halfway between these 2 and the other seasons are closer to louisville i prefer +3c overall. For Minneapolis, something 3c warmer would be similar to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln,_Nebraska#Climate or a touch more extreme, which is slightly better overall although the summer is worse due to improved transition seasons and a noticeably milder winter, but still mediocre as the climate is just too conitnental overall for my preferences. 3c colder for there would be something like en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brainerd,_Minnesota#Climate which is significantly harsher with a shorter warm season, unquestionably worse than +3c due to the poor transitions and borderline-severe winters.

I think my answer is obvious. Pretty close to Minsk apart from April and May.

3C warmer would actually be perfect outside of summer.

Warmer for sure. Summers would be incredibly epic if that occurred.

Umeรฅ 3ยฐC colder: Jan: -6/-14 Feb: -6/-14 Mar: -1/-11 Apr: 4/-5 May: 10/-1 Jun: 15/4 Jul: 18/8 Aug: 17/7 Sep: 12/2 Oct: 4/-3 Nov: -1/-7 Dec: -4/-11 No wonder Babu 's choice wasn't too hard on this one. For most of the year it'd be neck and neck with current Kiruna should that be the case.
Here's Holmรถn in Umeรฅ Archipelago under a 3ยฐC warmer climate in every month:
Jan: 1/-4 Feb: 0/-4 Mar: 3/-2 Apr: 8/2 May: 13/7 Jun: 19/12 Jul: 23/17 Aug: 22/15 Sep: 17/12 Oct: 11/7 Nov: 6/3 Dec: 4/-1
Definitely a very interesting climate in that scenario.
Bonus, Sollefteรฅ (Junsele); Northern Sweden's heat capital:
Jan: -1/-9 Feb: 1/-8 Mar: 6/-3 Apr: 12/1 May: 19/5 Jun: 23/10 Jul: 26/13 Aug: 23/12 Sep: 18/8 Oct: 10/2 Nov: 4/-2 Dec: 1/-6
I'd take it if Nykรถping was like that. I reckon Ariete also would for Turku?

Warmer. Summer would be too cold minus 3 degrees.

Trondheim 3C warmer using 1981-2010 normals is basically Hamburg 1981-2010. Although the summer lows would be warmer, and December slightly colder. More recent normals would be warmer both places. Hamburg 1981-2010
Trondheim -3C is basically Tromsรธ. A little too chilly.

3 c warmer.
Our climate would look like this then:
37/23 40/24 48/30 61/42 73/52 82/61 86/66 85/65 77/57 65/47 53/38 42/29

Colder.
3C colder: 24/15C in July, -5/-12C in Januray, annual average 6C. Comfortable summers with cold winters. 3C warmer: 30/21 in July, +1/-3C in January, average 12C. Hot summer with humid nights and a slushy in-between winter.

3 C colder easily, I already think my climate is too warm lol. 3 C colder would be:
January = 3/-8 April = 15/2 July = 28/16 October = 16/3
Winters would be a good deal snowier too. I'd venture to guess we'd average 80-100 cm of snow instead of 55 cm. It'd be a B-/C+ climate instead of a C/C-. Looks like somewhere like Elkins, WV or upland Western MD but not too high in elevation.
3 C warmer:
January = 9/-2 April = 21/8 July = 34/22 October = 22/9
3 C warmer would be epic in summer, but terrible the rest of the year. Winters would be boring as hell, fall would be hot until the very end of September, while it'd get hot pretty quickly in May. This looks like somewhere in North Carolina but with hotter summers.
3 C colder still has warm summers, probably less thunderstorms however.

Since winters will get much snowier, I'd rather โ3ยฐ C; still won't be a proper summer with +3ยฐ C. However, if we were to subtract 3ยฐ C, then winters will become absolute perfection: As for something more akin to my elevation (1,290 m), I've added 1981-2010 Thredbo Village (โ3ยฐ C) as well: Das ist subantarctic.

Colder. Winters would be longer and more reliable - it's 11ยฐC right now while I'd rather it be -11ยฐC - and summers would still be comfortably warm.

Warmer of course! This climate is colder than I'd like year round, a 3C mean increase would improve that greatly... this new version looks more like something you'd see in North Dakota: That said, our highs during the warmer months (April through October) are already fairly satisfactory for me and don't need that much of an increase, while the lows are far too low for my liking. In particular, the record highs are now far too hot in the summer. So instead of an even 3C increase across highs and lows, during those months I'd prefer to add 1C to the highs and 5C to the lows, still resulting in a 3C mean increase but balancing the temperatures greatly (same deal with the record temperatures). Winters have been left with an even 3C increase. Now this is a serious improvement:

-3 which makes 4.2/-0.3 (2.0) January and 22.3/12.8 (17.5) July. Misread the previous thread of Lommie's to this concept. Becoming a generic western German climate. I'd choose chilly spring over hot summer anytime.

Neither is a great option. 3 C warmer is + 5.4 f so 49/23 in December and 93/64 in July. Kinda like Lamar or Las Animas in far southeast Colorado.
3 C colder is -5.4 so like 38/13 in December and 82/53 in July
Average highs for each month: + - 50 39 52 41 62 51 68 57 76 65 87 76 93 82 91 80 83 72 70 59 58 47 49 38
Option 1 has a long hot season and would probably get much less snow while option 2 is like Shitchester with a better January-March. I guess Iโll go with -3 C but current Fort Collins is much better than both.
