So I was inspired by an old C-D thread of family member's climate preferences to come up with five different real-life climates (including for myself) that each of my family members would probably like the most; based on comments they've made about weather over the years. Me: Brisbane, Aus Very warm to hot summers with thunderstorms, mild to warm dryish winters, lots of sun throughout the year and no freezing record lows. Mum: Las Palmas, Canary Islands
Hates cold and loves warm and hot weather (nothing too hot) like myself. However, she's scared of any thunderstorms and generally dislikes rain. Nana: San Luis Obispo, CA
Likes warm temperatures but only up until the mid-to-late 20s and appreciates more seasonality albeit still staying mild. Isn't appreciative of rain either but needs it for gardening. Dad: Lyon, FranceGenerally OK with our climate here but would appreciate more sun and slightly more seasonality than London. Sister: Oslo, Norway
Prefers winter & autumn much more than summer. Loves rainy, snowy, windy, cool-to-cold weather (nothing too extreme though). Would appreciate some mild-to-warm weather in summer but averaging only low 20s.

L.Y.O.N.
Lovely climate, and twenty-thousand leagues superior to the others on the list; Oslo comes 2nd.

Oslo easily.
My mom has similar climate preferences. She wants comfortable weather all year, with no extremes. Something like 80/60 all year with some rain but no storms. Also, no hurricanes, earthquakes, or any kind of natural disaster.
