It's finally time lads. Post the 1991-2020 averages for your location in this thread as each month goes. You can do them yourselves or maybe your local met organisation has started doing them for you. I think it'll be interesting to keep track of them as each month passes. Here's mine. I'm not including sun or precipitation days, as sun data only started in 1999 and precipitation days will take too long to calculate. I'm also only including extremes from the 1991-2020 period, so they might look slightly different to the overall extremes. January's maximum for this period was 26.953 or something so it barely scrapes to 27.0°C

Nice thread by the way. I'll maybe get out my old Norrköping Excel and trim it in order!

As said in the box, it's from three different stations. the 61-90 normals are from the Airport. Some of the warming regarding lows is due to placement of the new Artukainen station.

Here's the rest of the year using the 1991-2019 stats. Sunshine down by about 40 hours, rainfall up 10mm, and an extra 6 rain days.

Helsinki Airport's January mean in 91-20 is -4.2C, compared to -6.9C in 61-90, so a 2.7C warming. That station hasn't moved.

Didn't notice the txt in box. Many stations are dicontinued or moved here too. According to the map from met.no, Røros airport, which haven't moved, should have ca 3'C warming in 1991-2020 compared to 1961-90 which had January mean -11.2'C.
Edit: Seems there are missing data for Røros before 2002

No problem. I don't really have any choice anyway, because the airport station was discontinued in July 2010 and reopened just last June. And the Artukainen station represents the climate in the city better in any case. The Kupittaa station was a test for 3 years before the FMI decided to settle on Artukainen.

Trondheim Airport Værnes mean for January 1991-2020 is -1°C. The 61-90 mean was -3.2°C, so a 2.2°C warming.
Avg high should be like 1.5°C to 2°C, and avg low like -3.5°C to -4°C.
Stations on the outer coast in the region will often have mean above 0°C. Such as Ørland, Sula etc.
Edit: Just calculated the January mean for Ørland 1991-2020.
The new normal mean will be 1°C at Ørland (0.993). The 61-90 mean was -0.7°C, so a 1.7°C warming.
Ørland is at the mouth of the Trondheimsfjord, on the mainland, about 1 hr drive from Trondheim. Location of the main airforce base, so it's an airport, flat area.
Nordøyan at 64'48 N has 91-2020 January mean 2.2°C (2.16). That is on an island in the sea. The 61-90 mean was 0.5°C.

24-hr mean in the new normal 1991-2020 for: Oslo - Blindern (94 m): -2.3°C. The old 61-90 mean was -4.3°C.
Bergen-Florida (met.office): 2.6°C (2.613). The old 61-90 mean was 1.3°C I was surprised to see that only one year in Bergen had a January mean below freezing! That was 2010 with -3.4°C, a very special January.
Ytterøyane (island, 61'34 N): 4°C mean (4,03). The old 61-90 mean was 2.8°C. The most oceanic station has the least warming (1.2°C), but also one of the very warmest winters in the Nordics. No January was below freezing at Ytterøyane, the coldest was 2010 with mean 1.1°C.
Note: Missing data for 2005 & 2006 so 28 years.
