I wasn't going to bother working out the new averages for Malta as I thought they would be available within the next couple of months, but I contacted someone at the Met Office to ask when they would be released & I was told they hadn't been contacted by the WMO to start preparing them yet & when they are contacted it will take them a couple of YEARS to do them! I mean firstly, why would they need to wait to be told to have the averages done & secondly how the fuck could it possibly take them two years to work them out?!? They only do it for the airport station, ONE bloody station! They also have all the data there. It doesn't surprise me as the Maltese are so bloody lazy & it takes forever for even the most simple thing to be done here, but Jesus... Anyway I decided to do them & even though I had to collate data from a few different sources it only took me some spare time over a few days to do it. The figures I have are supposedly quality controlled, but I expect there could be slight differences when the Malta Met Office get off their lazy arses & release the data officially. Have also included 1981-2010 & 1961-1990 for comparison.    Has Malta not seen July rain in sixty years? |

All the summer months are usually dry too, the averages for June & August are kind of skewed by random events. Only 9 Junes & 12 Augusts between 1991-2020 recorded more than 1mm. Some people don't get how it can be so humid here when the weather is bone dry, but forget how small Malta is & how warm the sea gets, but yeah it would be nice to have the odd shower. |

Israel is so dry in summer that the met service there doesn't even bother to record rainfall during those months. Precipitation data is only available from September to May.

All months have warmed up compared to 81-10, except for that stupid October with its rediculous anomolies. All mean temps are hi+lo/2.
Had some corrupt data for the earlier years. These are the real averages:

Cadeau I have normals for every single station stored in my database now, which automatically generates the formatting for the wiki climate box. No need to manually enter data any more. If you want me to do any places, let me know, because it takes literally seconds.
