I always used to be pretty good at guessing the place from the climate box for anywhere in Europe but these new averages are going to completely throw me, some of the southern Scandinavian climates don't even look that cold any more.

There aren't even any climate boxes from the climatically warmest winter area of Scandinavia (Copenhagen, Stavanger, Gothenburg, MalmΓΈ etc) in this thread.
No problem understanding what you're saying though. If you are used to the old 61-90 averages (still used on many web pages, as our met.office has not updated normals), the new climate normal is much warmer. Many areas will move to a different climate zone, at least in W/S Scandinavia, where many cities/towns are close to boundaries either in winter (0C or -3C) or summer warmth (4+ months - mostly a little farther north into Central Scandinavia).

I have worked out the number of days at certain thresholds for London's 1991-2019 series.
Days >20c: 101.2 Days >25c: 29.1 Days >30c: 4.6
Frost days: 24.0 Ice days: 0.8
The 20c, 25c, 30c days remain unchanged relative to the 81-10 series, but the frost days have decreased from 33 to 24, and ice days from 1.1 to 0.8.

I'm surprised the 30C days in particular have remained the same. I'd have expected that to rise tbh considering some of the heatwaves we've had in the last 20 years. I guess I only really remember the hot days!

I guess I only really remember the hot days! It has risen from 4.4 to 4.6. There have been some hot summers but that time period also had 4 years with no 30c days (1991, 1993, 2007, 2008), as well as years with only 1 day, mostly in that 2007-2012 period. The 30c days haven't really changed, but whereas previously a hot day would be 30-32c, it's now 33-34c. 1989 with ~70 days of 25c+ is no longer counted, but 2012 with 7 days is.

Although it may look like it on the table, Portland does not actually have a secondary precip maximum in March, just a plateau. Dividing the precipitation by the number of days in the month, March is very slightly drier than February.

Is June not a non-warming month in Finland?

91-20 normals will have roughly the same averages as 61-90, but a tad higher than 81-10.

December has warmed so much its disturbing. Hopefully Dec 2020 will be frigid to offset some of the warmup

They are virtually identical every month for temperature, and very similar elsewhere, despite being over 1000 miles apart!
