Average for the whole months is 17.8c. Wonder what the average for the first third would be Considering the March high is 10.4 and May high 23.0, it seems it's about an 6.8'C increase per month. April 1st should thus be about 14.4'C and the first half of April about 16.1'C if my very simplified linear head math is correct That doesn't work for some people.

Yesterday hit 96 F (35.6 C) for the second day in a row! Been a hot April so far; averaging 89.0/71.0 (31.7/21.7) through the first ten days of the month, 6 F (3.3 C) above average.
Today will be much more seasonable in terms of highs. As of 11 am it's 80 F (26.7 C) with a 71 F (21.7 C) dew point, and the predicted high is 83 F (28.3 C) with a 20% chance of storms this afternoon.

Some places have a faster warm up between March and April than April to May, and vice versa. 10.4 C in March and 17.8 C in April means (roughly) 14.1 C on April 1st. April 8th should be about 15.9 C or so, so average high for the first week of April should be about 15 C or so. Seoul seems to have a much sharper warm up between March and April in terms of highs (increased by 7.4 C between Mar and Apr, and then 5.2 C between April and May) so using a linear chart from March all the way to May wouldn't make much sense.

Sunday's forecast. Nice enough so close as Stockholm, but not here.

Neat start to April here too, averaging 20.0°C for highs and clocking 100 hours of bright sun. Quite high ensoleillement since mid-March, be it cold or warm. 3rd 25°C+ day in a row. Fantastic weather really! Make it four!

Ah ok, so should be about seasonable then My mind really wants warmth in the spring so maybe that's why it feels so cold to me lol

Eh, I'm still complaining as it doesn't rain nearly enough. I have to water the ground before spading. FML.

Is April the fastest-warming month in North America as well? We get really warm April weather in Europe nearly every year now, it makes sense that there being less ice and snow to melt means more energy for warming but if that's the reason then the same thing should be happening all over the top half of the NH. I was curious and checked for my city. OKC is warming fastest in February, and April is warming slower than average. September and October have actually cooled slightly over the long term.

Yesterday ended up with 1.5” (~4 cm) of snow. With the strong April sun though it was completely melted by late afternoon.
The coldest temp from this cold snap so far was 30 (-1 c) this morning so the damage to plants is minimal.

Still looking like a pretty big risk of severe weather tomorrow for the deep South. Moderate risk right now with too much uncertainty to introduce high risk. Latest models seem to keep the strongest action just to my north. This is what NWS Lake Charles is saying.

feels like recent Aprils have been chilly in the Northeast, we're 3°F above average for the month but next week looks average to chilly. The snow explanation makes sense but maybe it's more important for the interior. Right now only some of Maine and New Hampshire have snow (some of it recent) but most of eastern Canada north of 46-47°N, ought to keep our weather chiller if there's a northern airflow, not much effect if other direction. From the east off the Atlantic, obviously snow won't make a difference. Having less ice and snow hanging around from the winter shouldn't make a difference to us in Western Europe either, but I'm thinking it should still have a knock-on effect elsewhere given we're talking about vast areas of the Arctic/Siberia that are directly affected. Or at least that's my theory anyway, we could just have had a really good run by chance. If it's true, you'd see the most warming where snow covered has changed the most. I'm curious to check, but not in the mood to make the effort right now

We get really warm April weather in Europe nearly every year now, it makes sense that there being less ice and snow to melt means more energy for warming but if that's the reason then the same thing should be happening all over the top half of the NH. For me, it is warming, but not extremely so. I graphed the average temperatures, the 1981-2010 normal, and a 5-year running average. There is definitely an upwards trend, but most months are warming slowly.
Since 2010, there have been two very warm months and one very cold month. April 2018 was only 0.1 degree from record cold in Madison, and felt like a winter month. The start of April 2010 was extreme, with 82/55 then 81/60 (28/13 and 27/16) but after that week it was normal.
April has been mild this year. It could be due to the mild winter and lack of snow cover further north. Cold fronts lose strength easier when there is no snow cover. Next week is forecast to be cold, so it could still end up below average.

Pretty warm night for April; still 17°C @ 2 am. No wind either, can stand outside in a tshirt without even feeling cold. Awesome for early April.

We had a low temperature of -3.6C yesterday, making it our first low above -10C this month so far (also had our first mean temperature above freezing of the month). The next four nights are all going to be between -10C and -15C and then it's supposed to warm up a bit after that so hopefully that actually happens, unfortunately it's been like 3 weeks now where the warmup is always at the end of the forecast and doesn't get any closer.

Another hot week, typical as this is the hottest time of the year here. I've heard of isolated rainfall elsewhere in the city once or twice this week, but nothing here. But thunderstorms are forecast for late tonight or early tmrw.

Looking like there may not be too much in the way of severe weather in my area now - downgraded to slight risk where I'm at. There have been tornado warnings across north LA this morning. PDS tornado watch issued for northeast LA and a good part of MS.

Almost summer-like today; low this morning was an insanely warm 77 F (25 C), currently 84 F (28.9 C) with a 74 F (23.3 C) and mostly cloudy skies, actually looks kinda threatening outside. Today's high is predicted at 87 F (30.6 C) and mostly cloudy skies.
