We are having shitty weather and temps well below 81-2010 averages, more like late Feb weather! While France, UK, Belgium and southern Germay & Central Europe are waaaay above avg

Is April the fastest-warming month in North America as well?
We get really warm April weather in Europe nearly every year now, it makes sense that there being less ice and snow to melt means more energy for warming but if that's the reason then the same thing should be happening all over the top half of the NH.

The snow explanation makes sense but maybe it's more important for the interior. Right now only some of Maine and New Hampshire have snow (some of it recent) but most of eastern Canada north of 46-47°N, ought to keep our weather chiller if there's a northern airflow, not much effect if other direction. From the east off the Atlantic, obviously snow won't make a difference.

From the east off the Atlantic, obviously snow won't make a difference. Having less ice and snow hanging around from the winter shouldn't make a difference to us in Western Europe either, but I'm thinking it should still have a knock-on effect elsewhere given we're talking about vast areas of the Arctic/Siberia that are directly affected. Or at least that's my theory anyway, we could just have had a really good run by chance.

April seems to be the fastest warming spring month here, but winter months have warmed more, and Sep about the same as April. Our met.office has released some data for Northern Norway for 91-2019, which shows Apr mean warming 1.1'C for that region compared to 61-90. For here, Værnes airport Apr mean for 1991-2019 is 1.2'C warmer than the 61-90 normal.

Yesterday ended up only recording a trace of snow, much more fell this morning.
Much of it is melted now at 2:30 PM with the sun but there’s still patchy snow cover on the ground.
TWC now says 67 (19 c) for Monday, NWS says 65 but they’re usually more conservative. And now some 50s appeared at the end of the 10-day so this doesn’t appear to be a bad cold snap after all.

Already 110 hours of sunshine after the first third of April, truly enchanting coming from our gloomy overcrap winters.

25.0C in Bude, Cornwall today which is a national record for the date.
It's pretty unusual for somewhere by the coast in the SW to be the warmest place in the country in a warm spell actually, I'll have to look up the synoptics to see what that's all about.

Magnificent day out there by April standards in lower NY.
47f and partly cloudy with strong winds out of the NW. Rode my bike for an hour today, a bit more than other recent rides thanks to the below avg weather.
I see a few more days in the 40s and low 50s in the 10-day forecast. Will take full advantage.

Coolish start to April so far (only 15.5c average high), but the ensoleillement has been amazing. Already 106 hours so far, not even counting today
So on pace for 318 hours. Normal is 205, and we're already 52% of the way there

Seems like 15.5'C would be average or even above average for the first week of April in Seoul Average for the whole months is 17.8c. Wonder what the average for the first third would be Considering the March high is 10.4 and May high 23.0, it seems it's about an 6.8'C increase per month. April 1st should thus be about 14.4'C and the first half of April about 16.1'C if my very simplified linear head math is correct
