**WINTER STORM WARNING**
A quite strong surface low will be moving through the region out ahead of a strong cold front, bringing heavy, squally snow showers with gusty winds gusting up to 60 MPH. Snowfall rates will be 1-2" an hour at times, and up to 3-4" in the heaviest snow squalls. This will bring a lot of reduced visibility and the strong winds will create low wind chills. Snowfall accumulations will tally up 1-2 feet, higher amounts in northern, higher elevated areas. Please exercise caution whilst being outside.

As you can see, a cold front came through the area, air temps dropped from -8 F (-22 C) to -28 F (-33 C) in an hour from noon to 1 PM following the passage of the cold front. Low tonight predicted at -47 F (-44 C). |
