Not normal conditions at all, although normal would still be considered brutal by most people lol. Just let me have some fun with my dream climate.

Torture. Nah, it's a really long lasting and unprecedented cold snap. Not normal conditions at all, although normal would still be considered brutal by most people lol. Just let me have some fun with my dream climate. Have you thought about the geographical location of your dream climate on a landmass? Its like those Siberian subarctic climates. It's located at 50 N on the eastern side of a continent 1.5 times bigger than North America about 200 miles north of a sea, in a planet with an axial tilt of 45 degrees. The proximity to the ocean makes winter snow storms quite common and remnants of tropical cyclones also pass through the area quite frequently. Due to the higher axial tilt, summers are also quite hot and humid with very frequent afternoon thunderstorms. The climate sees polar night from November 25 - January 16 (roughly) and polar day from May 24 - July 17 (roughly). So it's in polar night for another week or so.

Not sure, scientists experience this type of weather in winter in Vostok all the time and I'm sure they're outside some of the time... Like I said my fictional climate is for fun lol.
