A bit after mid-April, average last sub-zero is April 22, latest occurrence being May 15 and the earliest last sub-zero (if that makes sense lol) was on March 29. Earliest occurrence was on September 22 and latest first occurrence is November 3 (average is October 15). I think it might catch up to you in late May, average high for mid-May is about 65 F. Your average high in May is like 70-72 F right? Yeah, probably late May then. Average high for May 1 is 69, for May 31 itβs 77. Sub-zero in my climate normally ranges from December 8 to February 23 and has been as late as April 7 and as early as November 9. ^ Ah, not quite late May then. Average high on May 31 is 76 F.
Early June is still warming up quickly, average high by mid-month is 89 F. The warming up levels off in the second half of June. Peak summer season is July 10-18 when the average high is 93 F.

I thought for sure you'd make April below average since you made February so warm, lol When I was making up the forecast for April, I assumed it would have been below average but it didn't turn out that way when I entered everything into the spreadsheet lol. Weird start to the year with record warmth in January and February and a below average March. March and April will be way snowier than the winter months, which isn't unheard of since spring tends to get off to a very slow start and sometimes has milder temperatures and more moisture to work with than during the heart of winter (for snow). March was snowier than any of the winter months in Winter Haven as well, matter of fact it shattered the old snowfall record for March and was the fourth snowiest month on record lol (March 2018 summary is uploaded on the Weekly Forecast thread). Mostly due to an active storm track and lots of flip flopping between very cold and "mild" period (cold air won clearly for the month though). There will be some snowfall later this week in Winter Haven when milder air moves back into the region with more moisture. |

-15F and clear with 30" of snow on ground. Nice and crisp late winter weather. Should be 86F with a dew point around 77F and strong thunderstorms next week if the models are accurate.  |
