Very up and down, it will warm up significantly early next week, will have a couple of days with 40-50 F highs before another cold snap comes through but that will be brief. A zonal flow will take place mid-month with average temps but will be quite cloudy, so highs will be below normal and lows above normal. Models are hinting at a late April heat wave with highs near 80 F around the 26th, and it will bring possible severe weather with it, but showing a cold snap and a possible snow storm happening at the end of April/beginning of May. What's steelernationville looking like for April?

After that, it looks above average but there might be a big cold snap near the end of the month.

Nice! How cold would a late April cold snap be there? Something like 40/15 with 1-2β snow May can still get snow like every 10 years, but not very much.

That sounds seasonably cold for late April in Winter Haven, average high reaches 50 F by April 28 in Winter Haven. May snowfall is not unusual in Winter Haven, especially within the first ten days. Every May averages some accumulating snowfall. Not exactly common in the second half of May but has happened before. Latest snowfall on record is June 3, 1966.

Same latest snowfall date here, different year though. Whenβs the average last sub-0 there? Mid April? Would be frustrating getting extreme cold in April but with those brutal winters, April probably feels very warm. Also seems to warm up pretty fast-your average high probably catches up to mine in mid May after being 60 F colder in winter.

I thought for sure you'd make April below average since you made February so warm, lol When I was making up the forecast for April, I assumed it would have been below average but it didn't turn out that way when I entered everything into the spreadsheet lol. Weird start to the year with record warmth in January and February and a below average March. March and April will be way snowier than the winter months, which isn't unheard of since spring tends to get off to a very slow start and sometimes has milder temperatures and more moisture to work with than during the heart of winter (for snow).

A bit after mid-April, average last sub-zero is April 22, latest occurrence being May 15 and the earliest last sub-zero (if that makes sense lol) was on March 29. Earliest occurrence was on September 22 and latest first occurrence is November 3 (average is October 15). I think it might catch up to you in late May, average high for mid-May is about 65 F. Your average high in May is like 70-72 F right?
