Farch 2020 CrummarySlightly cooler and wetter than average; an extremely boring and stable month, caused and accentuated by the stubbornly positive AAO phase (not letting enough westerlies sweep through). Not much else to say about this absolute failure of a March, really. Anomalies for my nearest BoM station, Cabramurra SMHEA AWS (1996–2020): Mean Maxima = 16.8° C (–0.8° C) Mean Minima = 8.2° C (–0.6° C) Precipitation = 124.6 mm (+43.1 mm)

March Summary 2020 An above average, mostly stable, fairly cloudy and wet March. Most of the 29.2mm came from two systems on the 14th and 17th. From memory all of it from the 14th came overnight so I didn't really see it whilst the 17th (14.0mm at jandy and 19.8mm at perth metro) was a heavy and short-lived squall line from a cold front which plunged the temperature greatly. Aside from two fairly autumnal patches from the 15-19th and 27-31st it was dry, stable and quite sunny with most days between 27-35C. Quite a good month to end summer! Jandakot Highest Max: 35.7C (26th) Mean Max: 29.6C (+0.0C) Lowest Max: 22.8C (18th) Mean Departure: +0.7C Highest Min: 22.6C (14th) Mean Min: 16.9C (+1.4C) Lowest Min: 8.1C (30th) Rain: 29.2mm ( 181.3% of average 16.1mm) Rain Days: 4 Sun Hours: 272.2 Sun hours/day: 8.8/day (-0.7hrs/day) Perth Metro: Highest Max: 36.7C (26th) Mean Max: 29.7C (+0.1C) Lowest Max: 22.6C (29th) Mean Departure: +0.45C Highest Min: 22.8C (14th) Mean Min: 17.5C (+0.8C) Lowest Min: 9.7C (30th) Rain: 32.8mm (170.8% of average 19.2mm) Rain Days: 5 Sun Hours: 272.2 Sun hours/day: 8.8/day (-0.7hrs/day)

Climateboxes to March 31 for some usual suspects. Albany: unfortunately the days of 23rd, 24th and 30th, whilst the minima of 24th, 25th and 31st are gone. But I looked at albany airport and correlated the departures from the Albany Airport averages, it seems as though the month would still have very similar averages, maybe +0.1C for maxima. And rainfall would be no more than 1-2mm more than the climate box data given. Marble Bar: hot, sunny on repeat. Wyndham: dry, high diurnals than jan and feb. Definitely into the dry autumn season now. All 3 precip days in March were the 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Kalgoorlie: above average but cool and dry compared to jan and feb

Average temperature: 2,4°C (+3,5°C) Record high: 14,8°C Record low: -11,4°C (yesterday, lol) Precipitation: 45 mm (+21%) Sunshine: 183 h (+44%)
Just another super warm month but at least it was sunny. I bet the warmth will magically disappear in April though, that could result in pleasant weather after all.

March 2020 was disappointing in Saskatoon. The first week was great and started off with well above average temperatures and seemed like we were going to be in for an early spring, then the rest of the month happened and we went back to winter, except for a handful of days toward the end of the month. We had 5 nights below -20C and another 3 nights that came within less than half a degree of -20C. Stats: Average high: -1.8C (normal: -0.3C) Average low: -14.1C (normal: -10.5C) Mean temperature: -7.9C (normal: -5.4C) Highest high: 10.2C (March 29th) Highest low: -4.2C (March 4th) Lowest high: -12.4C (March 8th) Lowest low: -24.2C (March 16th) Warmest mean: 1.8C (March 29th) Coldest mean: -16.4C (March 18th and 19th) Precipitation total: 10.1mm (normal: 15.6mm) Precipitation days: 10 (normal: 8.2) Sunshine was probably around average, we'll see in a few days when those stats are out.

March in Malta came in close to average though minimum temperatures were warmer than normal. The month started off warm & ended cool, producing a colder maximum than either January or February could achieve. Rainfall was still below average, but at least we actually got some rain this month. Temperatures exactly on average. Rainfall was only 32% of average however. Since October 2018, only 2 months have seen above average rainfall
