Gaypril at Turdku Artugaynen was average and once again totally uneventful with the same weather every day. That being said, when 80% of Europe was well above average, this average monfffff seems like a total failure. I would call this a Nino Bellov month, same boring shit every day.
Looks like the UK or something. Not cold enough for snow, but not warm enough to be enjoyable.
I made some climate graphs using option #17 on IEM (https://mesonet.agron.iastate.edu/plotting/auto/)
Paris was posted, but I didn't know they were so far above average. This would be average May weather. Look at all those 70s!
I did Saskatoon because it's ridiculous. From 7F to 82F highs in a few weeks. Very few climates can do that.
I was looking for Marble Bar, but the website didn't have it.
Off topic: These charts look weird when temperatures are all below 0F. NOT April 2020.
I choose Umeå ( Babu) for having colder weather when it matters (winter) and a warmer April.

Yup. It's been Scotland all year here. I already bought a kilt.

April was 1.6F / 0.9C below average, precipitation above average. The warmest day was a surprising 79/43 (26/6) day on the 7th. After that it was mostly below average. The 0.1 inch of snow fell the morning of the 14th and melted by noon. The coldest day was 38/26 (3/-3) on the 15th. Last freeze was the 16th, but there may be one this week. Suburban areas will probably get one even if the airport doesn't.

Crunch41, interesting that you went the latter half without a freeze, but the average low for the month was still just 2.2C

Portland Airport April 2020 SummaryI forgot to do March but it was a shit month. Whatever. April was warmer than average and extremely dry. Only 5 days at 1mm or above and it ranks as the #4 driest on record.

April was colder than normal in Riga and most of Latvia: And the deviation from the average was even bigger in SE Estonia than in Riga... Oh, it's so 'nice'.

And the deviation from the average was even bigger in SE Estonia than in Riga... Oh, it's so 'nice'. The negative anomaly was bigger to the East. In any case, it was a dry month in most of Latvia except the places near the Estonian border. But our officials still use the Soviet norm.

April 2020 was cooler (20th coldest on record) and drier than normal in the OKC area. But it also had a lot of temperature variation, so while we had some of the coldest highs on record, the monthly average wasn't too extreme. The most shocking thing was the mid-April snow. Trees were mostly leafed out at the time, which made it odd to see. But it happened at night, so it wasn't as impressive as if it was during the day. It didn't accumulate where I live, but others in the metro got a dusting. The OKC airport tied the record for latest measurable snow on record. We also tied for the latest sub-30°F low on record. The first half of the month felt cloudy, but after the snow it got sunnier. We got a few good thunderstorms late in the month.

Here's the summary for Sweden In most of the country, it was an above average April. Only exceptions are the western side of the country at middle and northern latitudes. The deviations were largest around the coasts, and the tiny Baltic island Landsort beat their previous record, and the narrow peninsula Falsterbo tied their previous record. It was a very consistantly dry month as well with all parts of the country being drier than average. And it was also sunny in all but the western parts of the northern half of Sweden. Looking at the averages in these stats, the deviation is a little misleading. April is one of the months that have seen the largest increase in sunshine for the last 15-30 years. 2002-2018 was 15% sunnier in Umeå than 61-90, and in Visby the increase has been 30%, averaging 255h for 2002-2018 compared to 194h for 1961-1990. Regardless, Visby managed to undershoot their record by only 3% making it presumably the second or third sunniest April at least in the coastal areas of Southern Sweden

Finland seems to be immune to above average anomolies past couple of years Not really lol. Kronoby had higher deviations for pretty much every month last year and this winter compared to Umeå.

Finally I got to finish the rest of the boxes. I hope Babu will do Kronoby all this year, so I dropped that. Instead I added Lahti and Vaasa.
In case you forgot, here are the locations:
No further commentary. Jan-Mar was except for Lapland much warmer than average, April was below average except for the south coast.

Lund still has a bunch of gaps in April's data, so I decided to do one for another interesting station, namely Oskarshamn. This station has the warmest highs from May-Sep of any station in Sweden. Every month in June-Sep has warmer highs than Lund. (I'm using an island 40km away for sunshine) Vs 91-2018 average

Prince George this year so far. No snowfall data unfortunately. That January. That looks fake. But it's not. A mostly mild month with one intense cold snap in the middle.
