Clearly one of the only climates even semi acceptable to me on this continent.

Wanaka, NZ Alexandra, NZ Cabramurra, NSW Katoomba, NSW
But if only one, I'd probably go with Alexandra.

Has to be in the citrus/ski zone, so most likely somewhere in NZ. Let me guess... Mouteka.

Never thought I see those two NZ ones chosen as favourite climates - Palmerston North in particular ... often the butt of jokes about weather.Really, I expected either Dunedin or Invercargill takes that position. Is it the cloudiness in winter for main reason.

Pretty much a tossup between Crookwell and Millthorpe for me. Bathurst is very close too but I think the weaker winters outweigh the better summers and dryness.

Ah I forgot about Millthorpe. Very nice climate!
I think I will switch to that from Alexandra, although the NZ landscape is 1000x better.

Hmm, lots of good ones to choose from here. I'll go with Townsville. Honorable mentions to Brisbane / Gold Coast, Darwin and Mareeba.

Sunny Corner gets reliable, sometimes heavy snowfall whilst retaining warm summers. Forgot about it: Not ideal for me due to its summer precip peak, but I do reckon that some on here will love it.

Not bad for Australia but i still prefer Millthorpe and Crookwell. Those summers are a bit crummery and itโs wetter.

Too bad NZ doesn't have any towns a those sort of altitudes - don't even have any weather stations at those altitudes Strewth, that's mostly because NZ's higher elevations tend to be steep mountain peaks, as opposed to vast plateaus or hills like Australia's elevated regionsโmuch more habitable in the latter. Our upland regions are pretty much a series of hills that have been extensively cleared for farmland/forestry.

If reliable snowfall is what you want, whilst retaining proper summers, you'd defo want to pick Orange instead. Crookwell and Millthorpe are even better for snow than Orange, and still retain proper summers with not much winter rainโthat is to say, compared to places like Batlow which seem far too wet in winter for you. As for continentality (seasonal range); Carabost and Rosewood take the cake. Sunny Corner gets reliable, sometimes heavy snowfall whilst retaining warm summers. Forgot about it: Not ideal for me due to its summer precip peak, but I do reckon that some on here will love it.
I pick one of these towns in NSW. Orange, Crookwell, Millthorpe, Carabost, Rosewood, or Sunny Corner. I knew about Orange from a previous poll or thread, but the others are just as good. Colder places like Kiandra or Cabramurra or Angler's Reach are not warm enough in summer.
The best in NZ is Wanaka. Similar averages to the NSW climates, but it is probably less variable in summer and less snowy. Alexandra is too dry.
Edit: Crookwell or Millthorpe are best. Sunny Corner is too cool for me in summer.
