Maybe it's my computer. I can't see any of the Twitter posts and it seems to be anyone posting Twitter links, not just you.

The radar looks beautiful today! Some valleys above Nice are completely isolated and looking at the damage on roads it looks like they'll be for a long time: GSV of the same spot: Aerial vid of the damage: www.facebook.com/watch/?v=686487202245476One can spot mud from space. 572 mm (22.5") is the final tally for Mons. High mountains must have received Γ shitload of snow.

^ Wow, I hope people manage to stay safe up there!
Pretty mild and unremarkable fall so far in Saskatoon. Mostly above average temperatures with a couple chilly days interspersed here and there. Our high temperatures are forecast to have a gradual descent over the coming week or so and end up below average, however our nights are staying mostly above freezing which is pretty nice.

Not to be a dick jg but giles and warburton are a verrrrry long way away from the others. This was listed under NT observations, so it must have just grouped all of them together. I know wyndham and kalumburu and the islands are very far away but wasn't too sure about the others.

^ I know I wouldn't complain about those temperatures for October anywhere along the Mediterranean coast from southern Italy right around through Lebanon and Israel into Egypt. Heck, I'm surprised to see how warm it was through the Balkans and into Romania, Moldova, Poland, and the Ukraine. The whole of Moldova was warmer than the majority of Spain!

These are the 850 hPa temperatures from yesterday: The deep trough (the remnants of Storm Alex) combined with a cooler, Arctic airmass is bringing cool and wet weather in France/Spain.

Solid rain, 20-30mm so far in the Adelaide region... but none of it, aside from some dribbles, will make it here, as Renmark, just like with boxed wine, has pioneered the invention of rain shadows.

Particularly the northern suburbs.

Northern suburbs always get storms though compared to anywhere else in Melbourne except for Geelong Brush and the ass end of the Mornington Penisula.

Sometimes in this life things happen which are completely at odds with the fabric of spacetime as we know it. The theories regarding Quantum Foam, micro black holes, and hypergiant stars collapsing into a singularity via an explosion powerful enough to be seen by the naked eye from 6 billion light years away are one thing. Then there is this:

Using these 24h means from Ogimet, UmeΓ₯ Airport still has meteorological summer, with another "summer day" today with a sweltering 14'C high.

Tbh 11.2'C at 22.34 feels relatively balmy in October by UmeΓ₯ standards

10.8'C low at the airport last night. Really mild for being October. I mean, the weather is shit, but at least it's anomalous.
